Yeah, it would take experience, that's for sure.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you annealed and then tempered the metal, wouldn't it realign the crystal structure and strengthen it again?

Putting the clip in the barbeque probably would be more likely to mess it up more than fix it. I am by no means an expert, and have no idea of how to heat treat a pocket clip, but it would probably be a better bet to just get a new clip, because you'd have to heat the clip up to the proper ...

Good pics, but there are better ways for you to lubricate the pivot on your knives. :D

I used to think Spydercos were not just ugly, but hideous. I mean, do you see that hole in the blade? Then it kind of grew on me, and I got to see a couple of Spyders that started to change my mind. Then I ordered a Manix 2 and now I think Spyders are some of the best designed folders out there.

Yojimbo

Anyone know if/when there may be a new run of Yojimbos coming out? It looks like a great design, and unfortunately back when the first ones came out, I couldn't stand the looks of Spydies. Now they've grown on me though, the Manix 2 REALLY changed my mind.

Thanks,

I've only seen a few spydies, a couple enduras, a delica, and I own a Manix 2. My favorite of all of them is the Manix. It's got a decent sized blade, it's a solid knife, and has great ergonomics.

Don't have many good folders, haven't tried enough good steels in them to know really.

Steel: 154cm because that's the best I've had in a folder, and it's incredible. (At least compared to what I'm used to.)

Handle Material: Micarta or G-10

Grind: Flat grind, either sabre or ffg.

Blade Shape: I ...
