Don't worry, you have at least one other person that agrees.
Just starting to carry mine. Getting used to 1/2" more blade than my 3" bladed folders, takes a little reorientation.
Trying to decide if I want to continue carrying it. I know it's Sal's "personal" knife and all, but I'm curious why the finger choil is so shallow. I'm spoiled with deep finger ...

ZDP Stretch vs GB
Damfan, do you like your zdp Stretch or GB more?
Interesting question.
Actually, when I got the stretch, I had to do a double and triple take - it really looks like G-10 rather than CF, especially with the tight "guilloche" pattern that provides nice grip but isn't so good looking to my eyes.
I ...

Thanks, Bell. yes...it's one fiber.
Damfan:
Super pics.
Is that a single carbon fiber I see sticking up in your pic?
Looks like a hard/brittle material.
Though I find it strange if it's one CARBON fiber. I'm not sure what it is, could be a very long "burr" of CF resin?!?
Next time I'll have to put it under the Zeiss ...

Good on ya, and I applaud your decision. But...
Here's the way I see it.
CNN reported that America has lost 2.4 million jobs to China since 2001. Taiwan's figure is less but we have lost many jobs to them as well. This is a fact.
Allies or not, we are losing jobs. American knifemakers need work too.
Yes Taiwan is an ally, however on the ...

Thanks for that breakdown info on the Gayle Bradley!
You know, sometimes it's only when you take a knife apart, you really appreciate the workmanship went into it. Just reassembled my Gayle Bradley, and man that was nicely done. The blade was riding on a bushing, with two screws holding it from either side of the scale instead of the usual D-bolt and ...

Gunting - is there a special use or purpose to the design that I'm not getting?
And why is it so "highly sought after" (based on asking and selling prices)?
This is not a "valuation" question, as I know that can possibly have no rational sense behind it, but rather is there any "user" or unusual design feature that I'm not getting (besides that unsightly "hump" that I guess ...

Thanks, Donut. Just thought I'd help "bolster" your point.
Wow damfan, nice pictures. I couldn't capture my stuff 1/10th as well as you did.
Get it, "bolster?" :D sorry, I couldn't resist.
Actually, the weave of the CF on this Walker Sprint run does provide some surface "pattern" that I like; I really love the Gayle Bradley (the quality is impeccable ...

Yes, two out of two
Has anyone else experienced the problems that Donut has with the finish?
yes.
