Hello again Spydie fans,
I am Swede and haven't been here for many years. A decade ago, I amassed over 600 Spyderco knives. I have sold a lot of them off on ebay and right now the cranberry Lum is mine. I am so glad to be back among friends!!

I have a color comment, now that you bring it up.
I used to have a Lotus Elan that was British Racing Green. The BRG color on my knives looks much, much darker.
For what it's worth...

I started my Spyderco addiction with this model a long time ago, and still love it! I have a full-size aluminum user (so beat up from fishing trips it's getting major surgery at Spyderco right now) and many keepers in both aluminum and G10. This knife is as close to perfection as you can get! Hand-f...
In my experience, the longer the blade, the more likely this may happen. Have you tried giving the pivot screw a little tweak? This often helps, but there's a fine line between tightening it just enough and overtightening so the blade is too tight. I found it helped to tighten it up and then back of...
Isn't it a great show? I really missed going this year. I had about the same experience with Sal and Ed Shempp 2 years back. Lots of interesting stuff there.
Thanks for the story.
Dave
Hello Jose,
I go to OKCA every year. Sal will likely be there, and there may or may not be a Spyderco table. It's a great show, and I've found some real bargains in past years.
Actually there were 2 different G10 handle materials used in the Nav. I'll try to get a pic up soon.
(Great pics of one of my favorite models, Felly)

Hi Tim, I've picked up a few of these myself in the past. Just like the Baby Goddards, they're kind of neat. If someone tells you how many were made, they're probably making it up, unless it comes from Sal himself. No accurate figures that I've ever seen. Mine are all CE, like yours, and that's the ...
Hey Steve,
Things are going well here, I hope so too with you & yours.
This is a Worker I bought from Mr. Blanchard in Las Vegas about 10 years ago. I don't think I've seen another one with the same configuration.
Take care,
Dave
fellyjr, This seems to be the story with most fairly low-production "classics". Spyderco never really seemed to push this knife when it first came out. I remember a trip to SFO when they were in stock for about $69. I bought one. Later, on ebay, some dealer had a "Dutch Auction" (I didn't even know ...
Actually, I was wrong in my post above. The ones I handled at SFO were the early black FRN. I went back and checked my grey and burgundy models, and they're tight.
