I've been using Paper Wheels exclusively for about three years or so. It took me longer than most people to get the hang of it and I'm still learning. My problem was/is much the same as rodloos's. I can get my knives sharp, no doubt about it, but I am striving for the perfect looking edge. I get luc...

I think Joe summed it up pretty good. Not much more I can add but I do like Case's stainless. There isn't anything special about it but it's more than acceptable for a traditional pocket knife. I would like to see some more Case knives with a satin blade finish. Right now the only way to get that is...

Good on you, rosconey! Those courses teach you a lot of good things. You might be surprised by how much you learn. I took the experienced rider course here in Illinois (one day course) a few years ago and I learned some valuable safety maneuvers. Like how to safely swerve around an obstruction in th...

I'm on my fourth or fifth pair of Ridge Air-Tacs. Started wearing them in 2003 I think. The 4-5 day break in period is a real PITA but once broken in they are the most comfortable boots (steel toe or otherwise) that I've ever worn. I wear these all day everyday at work because steel toes are require...

You might consider taking a look at some of the other knives that Bark River has to offer. They have a rather wide selection to choose from. I had a Little Creek a few years ago but for me it was just a little bit too small. It was very well made though and I think that you would like it if that is ...

If you looked at Boker you probably saw the Pry Mate. Small and rather expensive but it looks very durable and has good steel.

The Bark River T.U.S.K. looks like a good option.

I don't wear a watch but as much as I hate to admit it, I am intrigued by some of the photos I have seen on various forums. There are some really nice watches out there! I wouldn't mind getting myself a nice watch to wear on ocassion but I'm afraid that if I do, I will get addicted to them. Truth is...

This stuff is an excellent product, a multi-purpose lube from Du-Pont. I first heard about it on some motorcycle forums as a being an excellent and highly popular chain lube. The stuff dries quickly,( but doesn't gunk-up like White Lightning) and somehow doesn't attract ANY dirt or grime. I get it ...

I will not deal with pay pal and - E-bay . Also Blade forum because I got a virus from them. I understand your concerns but one cannot ask for three better options for selling knives. You can try eleswhere but those three will bring you the most success. Bladeforums with Paypal would be faster and ...

Awesome! How did you get that shot?!? Friend in a car? Do you carry any of your Spyderco's while riding? And how about your wife.. Does she carry anything? Thanks! My best friend's wife took the shot from the back of their bike. When she got done, we switched lanes and my wife took a shot of them. ...

I have very limited experience with Bark River. Had a Little Creek that I really liked but sold it to fund other knives. Mike Stewart donated a Fox River to a local benefit in my area. He sent the knife to my address so I got to check it out for a few days before I passed it on for donation. Both kn...

Yep, been there several times. The one in Springfield just opened up earlier this year. Maybe about 4 or 5 months ago. I live about 3 miles from the place. Every now and then there is a guy set up in the knife department sharpening knives for customers with a set of paper wheels. I thought the store...

I have been dealing with a custom maker recently and he told me that he would be there. Sorry I missed the chance to meet him. :(
