I've been looking for an answer, but can't seem to find one ... so I thought I'd give you all a crack at it.



Anodizing is a way of adding color to aluminum, but are there other ways to color aluminum? For example, can 6061-T6 be cold-blued?

This is for a knife that will be in my pocket every day. It will be exposed to pocket lint and used daily for mundane cutting chores, probably without much in the way of TLC. Which of these steels would you choose, given these conditions?

So what are the differences between Almite and Tufram?

I think I saw something about an Almite Cricket, is that correct?

What would one expect to reasonably pay for a Tufram Cricket or an Almite Cricket (if it exists) ... NIB?

So, what handle materials are/were the Cricket available in and can they still be had NIB?

I would like something a little nicer than FRN, but the customized crickets at Blade Art and Santa Fe Stoneworks are too ornate.

FYI, what I'm thinking of is a nicer Cricket as a money clip ... SS handles ...
