Re: Christmas carry (and gifts), a festive thread

I’ve been addicted to my Urban Rex 46 and my Dyad jr. Since November. I avoided the urban for years, but found that I really like the ergonomics. The Dyad speaks for itself!!

Re: Your best example of a Spyderco

For me, I’d say the Chaparral LW SE, and Caly 3 G-10.

I'll talk to the management staff with this link, to consider a "sprint".
Interest?
Steel and handle color?

sal

Re: Hiking with Spyderco

Yes, great idea for a thread.

I'm section-hiking the PCT as I find time, and recently have been carrying modified "naked" mules. (I used to carry some flavor of a Manix, and before that, a Caly 3.5) I actually don't use a knife too much on the trail, it's more of an emergency/backup tool, and I ...

The smokies are awesome - thanks for sharing. These are some great pics.

I did a camping trip there last April with just the para 3 lightweight SPY27 and it served me very well.

Thank you! I’m glad you had a good time out here! Photos? I love the cobalt blue handle on the SPY27 Para 3 ...

New (to me) Caly 3 CF handles/ZDP189+420J blade, just came in the mail yesterday. It's such a cool gentleman's folder.

Re: What’s on your current short list?

My short list is a list of one!

UKPK LC200N SE Green handle

I’m all out of knife money at the moment, so hopefully it will be available next year sometime?

Otherwise, I’ll be looking at next year’s Sprint Runs and Exclusives!

Probably no other production knives unless it’s something really ...

For camping my go to is the Manix 2 salt lw. Looking at the Chief as well, but the Manix 2 is awsome 👌

Nice! I love the striations in the rock, Manix 2 is a heck of a knife!👍🏻

Re: More "Carbon Steel Chauvinism": need your help refuting it.

I’m willing to bet that if I went back in time and showed a Viking a modern stainless steel blade that he would be shocked and amazed and immediately adopt it as a superior tool.
