This thing is at 70 HRC? Sal, what was the attained hardness of the CPM REX 121 Sages? I know it can get up to 72 HRC (?), right? This is an interesting concept, but I can conceive of a dozen reasons it might not be Mule Team suitable.

I’m going to put in my 2¢ for dream mules.
First, a bit wacky but who knows. Stellite 3. I’m open to that being a stupid idea, but I’d be interested to hear analysis.
Second, Böhler S290 MicroClean. I’ve heard this called out as a rival to Crucible CPM REX 121. But it is a rather different mix ...

The Seki City mules have a distinctly hand made feel. On one of my MT41s you can distinctly see the wire wheel used around the trademark hole, perpendicular to the grind plane grain.
