Re: 2024 Spyderco Forum Calendar Winners!
Nice photos. As I am rather new to participating in the forum, did people choose their own months or were those selected for them?

Re: Spyderco Stretch Original
As a BIG fan of the original Stretch, I am glad to see that there are others out there. I have carried a Stretch ZDP-189 in my pocket for many years. Before that, I carried various Delicas for about 20 years (G2- AUS-8 - ATS-55 - VG-10). I am currently trying a variety of different Spydies. But the ...

Re: Superhawk
Thanks for the inputs and feedback. Quite helpful. Considering my garden is here now, I am going to experiment by getting 2 Salts - one PE and SE. I will put them through the various chores and see what's what. I prefer to keep an open mind and I can always sell the one I don't like. Of course, I te...

Re: Superhawk
I don’t know….I’ve got both a serrated H1 & LC200N Pacific Salt that I bought for this very reason, they both work fantastic! Do you have any issues with needing to resharpen on a regular basis? Does the serration lessen that impact? I prefer plain edge knives due to the cleanness of the cut. S...

Superhawk
This knife would make a GREAT gardening knife if produced in Magnacut. There are NO really good gardening knives on the market today produced by Spyderco. All of the hawkbill knives are serrated and/or high corrosion resistance which require frequent sharpening. We gardeners need something that can ...

Re: Crucarta Manix 2
Thanks Vivi. Nice write-ups. That helps a WHOLE lot. Two of the things that I really like about the Stretch are the closed back and choil. I see a C95 in my near future.

Re: Yellow Magnacut :(
Yellow is easier to dye than orange because orange is darker. The darker it is to start, the less options you have.

Re: Crucarta Manix 2
Don't have a Manix 2, but I want one. Trying to decide whether to get the regular or XL in Cru. I carried Delicas for about 20 years, then switched to Stretch. Have recently been trying the PM2 (which I like) and the Shaman (which I also like). Seems like I have the bug again to have different knive...

Re: An ongoing mystery: Why still no ffg Manix 2 SE? (NOT meant as a complaint)
As a huge Stretch fan, the Stretch 2XL in H-2 isn't what I was looking for unfortunately. For one, I much prefer the distinct upper slope that many Stretch knives have. It is something different as opposed to the same old thing. Secondly, while VG10 works as does my ZDP-189 (I am gentle with her), i...

Re: if you could only own a 5 Spyderco knife collection:
Stretch 2 Magnacut (with the original curved upper blade, not the same blade shape as every other knife) - currently not available Delica4 S30V (quite happy with what I have) Shaman S30V (quite happy with what I have) PM2 Salt Magnacut - I'm waiting (somewhat) patiently Harpy Plainedge with G10 hand...

Re: What do you view as the main grip on these types of knives?
More often than not, when using my Stretch which I actually prefer to my PM2, I have my index finger on the jimp and the rest on the on the handle. Detail work is where I will use the choil. The question in the poll doesn't really capture that nuance.
