Thanks for the pics in this thread, I was contemplating just getting the 6 as it's what's available to me atm but I think the grip shown means I will probably need a 5.

I was wondering what people's thoughts are on PE vs serrated on this particular model, what would be the reasons to go for one or ...

Yeah pretty high price in Canada, it's what kept me from hitting that buy button so far but I'm tempted.

That and I'm really holding hope for a 3V or another Cruwear version in the future as to me this knife ...

Shaman in 3V or CruWear please :) I enjoy this steel in my Bark Rivers, different grinds but hey.

I love my stepped ti chapparal, it's probably my favorite spyderco. FRN is cool to keep it light and offer colors but I think the chapparal line should lean further into it gentlemans pocket knife inspiration and go for wood handles and other such materials that fit that sort of identity.

I have the zdp189 and k390 versions, and I get what he means they are kind of plain jane but I think that is almost the point with that particular design, it's really well suited to a workhorse user than pocket jewelry. Anyway, here and bushcraftusa looks much more inviting amd fit with my (modest) collection of spyderco, fallkniven and barkrivers.
