This will be such an interesting release. The entire extent of info I could find on SRS13 is basically already reposted in this thread. Just short blurbs in chef's knife forums. I only own one laminated knife and I never beat the heck out of it, might grab one of these mules for that purpose.

There's a pile of sharpening info on Bladeforums, to the point that it's hard to sift through. I read that typical compounds like aluminum and chromium oxide are softer than the carbides in Magnacut, so stropping with diamond or CBN is best. The latest Mule I did got the "El Gorda" treatment, and measures in at 0.715" at its fattest. I like it so much that the next one will be even fatter. Nice. At some point I'd like to try Mule scales with a palm swell about an inch wide, side to side. I like the Halpern Option 4 scale...
