Re: How bout a Yo Min bo? Smaller Yojimbo

... It seems like Sal and Eric liked my concept for the MicroJimbo, so it appears to be moving forward. ... Stay safe, Mike Oh I'm pretty excited about this. Are there any photos of the prototypes? Edit: I expect the answer is "probably not" as one wouldn't want another company to go copy...

Re: With MagnaCut looming, it's time to update the Chaparral's steel

I would sooner like to see plain stonewashed titanium handle scales on a Chaparral than the blade steel change. I didn't previously know that the Chaparral was made to be a stage to demonstrate different scale materials until reading this thread. I only have the maple one. I know that there have bee...

Re: What “New to You” models are you looking at for 2022?

Endela wharncliffe
A fully serrated knife because I'm curious.
A Chicagojimbo, or I may have a Yojimbo 2 shortened to under 3 inches depending on availability.
Manbug wharncliffe
Yet another Para 3.
Maybe a Techno 2

I suppose a great (?) name for a "SPITS" knife might be the Saliva. ;)

CPM 20CV Delica CQI or ?

On my K390 Delica, there's a tiny silver washer (not the bronze internal washers) which goes outside the knife on the pivot screws. My Knifejoy exclusive CPM 20CV Delicas do not have this washer. I have three of these, one normal and two wharncliffes. All of them work just fine. I'm just wondering i...

Re: The origin of Sal’s Mule Team Project

As much as I love wharnies I think the current blade shape was a smart choice, it makes the blade more versatile and allows people to use them for more tasks like skinning a deer for example. I do agree with you. I am a fan of wharncliffe blades, so I was amused by the wharncliffe mention with rega...

Re: Shipping of internal parts

I look at all the companies with accessory scales, screws, and aftermarket clips for Spyderco. Sal, I would say your company has 2 products that could almost be lego style models without much effort on your companies part. The paramilitary 2 and para 3 have such large aftermarket presence. I own a ...

So the the wharncliffe part of the idea didn't seem to come to fruition. Good thing you have Michael Janich around these days to help keep the wharncliffes coming! :)

Re: Good Jeans

There's a company in Chicago named Dearborn denim that makes jeans in the USA. I have been wearing them since 2017. They are cut and sewn in Chicago and cost a smidge above Levis full retail. They also tell you where the denim comes from. Most of it is 10 oz stretch denim from Parras Mexico, but the...

Re: MT35P - CPM MagnaCut Mule Team - Release Date

I'm wondering if the Boltaron Mule sheath will come back in stock at some point in the near future?

I suppose I could have ordered one in advance, but I didn't want a sheath if I wasn't certain I would be able to get a knife.

Re: Knife Joy 20CV Wharncliffe Delica

The particular shade of grey-ish blue along with silver hardware and a silver clip makes these knives particularly handsome. I have the non-wharncliffe CPM 20cv Delica. I had originally planned to change the scales on it, but I just decided to let it be because it looked really nice as is. I do have...

Looked it up, the original Yojimbo was 2.875".
Unfortunately, those are collectible by some, and I'd want to use it. That does answer the question that I actually did ask though. Thanks!

Re: under 3 inch wharncliffe with compression lock?

Thank you for the welcome Michael Janich. I am a fan of your designs. I would love for Spyderco to let you design some smaller knives in the future. The ChicagoJimbo is certainly on my list of stuff I want to buy next. I'll be one of the first in line to pick up one of those when they become availab...

under 3 inch wharncliffe with compression lock?

Howdy, I was just wondering if there has ever been a Spyderco under three inch wharncliffe bladed knife with a compression lock. I'm thinking roughly the size of a Para 3 or Sage 5. The Para 3 seems to be my favorite fidget tool while the wharncliffe Delica 4s seem to be my favorite daily cutting to...
