My first Manix2 in its original blade-grind, the exclusive pink G10 with titanium backspacer! So much fun finding Spydies from yesteryear.

Re: Suggestions to complete my "Trinity"

I left budget out initially, but in the same $5-600 range of the other two I have ideally, but for the right piece I could consider more. Over $1k would require something really special/unique though.

And BTW thanks for all the excellent replies. As a newbie, my posts had to clear moderation to ...

Re: Suggestions to complete my "Trinity"

My suggestion is do not use the Spartan Harsey Folder Plague Doctor, and it will be worth a ton in 5 years.

All 8 billion of us are being dragged through h*ll right now and I cannot think of a better knife to sum up our plight.

Completely agree, with both sentences! Yesterday when prndltech ...

Re: Suggestions to complete my "Trinity"

Since you say you're going to get a Hinderer at "some point", have you considered a Medford? They definitely have some unique scales to go with your Spartan.

I'm very new to researching Spartan knives, actually handled one several months back, very high quality knife! I think peoples Trinity may ...

Re: Suggestions to complete my "Trinity"

You have excellent taste! Also quite right on a full size Adamas fitting my hand. It hasn't seen much hard use yet, but for the last two years I spent 75%+ of my time in an office type environment (911 dispatch center supervisor). I recently transferred back out to a firehouse full time, so it'll ...

Re: Any dog lovers?

Several years ago, my wife and I decided to look at getting a dog. I wanted a German Shepherd, she wanted a pug. So, we compromised and got a pug.

Suggestions to complete my "Trinity"

Long time lurker, newer poster seeking input. I am looking to round out my collection of nice knives. I know the traditional Trinity was Hinderer, Strider, and CRK. But Strider just doesn't speak to me, so that leaves at least one open spot. I definitely would like to get a Hinderer at some point ...

Re: REX45 and Maxamet

Thanks, Sir. The reason I said it was possible he was thinking of Rex121 is that is one of the only steels I know of that's even crazier than Maxamet for edge retention.

Most of my EDC stuff is stainless (S30V,35VN,45VN) or semi-stainless (D2), steels. I have some CPM M4 but I tend not to daily ...

Both are great steels but they are very far apart in some performance characteristics. Rex45 is my favorite right now. Maxamet might be hard to find, S110V is pretty close to the performance of Maxamet and much easier to find.
Maybe he meant Rex 121?
