I kind of figured. I might have to see if I can make some of my own. Wood, or epoxy. The hard part will be milling out for the liners. With Epoxy, I can make a mold. Wood would be a lot of back and forth getting a nice tight fit.

Mantra 3 - Custom Scales?
Hey all,
I see that the Mantra 3 is not a really popular model, but is there another knife that has scales that would fit it?
I'd love some copper scales if I could get some.

Re: that sal is a stand up guy
Hope your son's ok. My son broke his arm the same way when he was 2. (4 years later, I have a good reason to ask him not to jump on the bed or couch). He's just fine now. Cast was on for 7 weeks, and he's good as new. Hopefully your son will have the same experience. As for the gift, that is an awes...

i'm not anti-digital, but i prefer "dumb" watches. ;) And I have digital Analog watch. A Casio Solar Sport Combination Watch. You set it digitally, it does the normal basic Casio watch things, but the face is analog. This is my everyday watch. My other watch is a Glycine F104, with a whit...

Re: Street Beat Discussion
This looks like a REALLY nice fixed blade for EDC. Better steel, Micarta handle and good size. I just wish in Michigan, at least, Fixed blades wheren't treated as firearms, and if your shirt covers it, it is considered concealed. I could see ditching a folding knife for a good fixed blade. https://...

Re: Shipping
I am getting a replacement knife from Sypderco. I sent in the fax form a couple of days ago, but no word. Does the Warranty Dept let you know when they ship your item back? Do they provide a tracking number? Or, does it just show up one day? Hi, sparty569: The Warranty Department processes replacem...

Re: Interest in Front Flipper by Spyderco?
I like the cone better than the ball. I tried last night, with a sanding cone, but it didnt make much of a difference. Probably too soft, for the hardened steel. I'll look for one of these. 1/16" right? Sorry I just saw this. I'm not exactly sure about the size. It came in a set of dental labo...

Re: Interest in Front Flipper by Spyderco?
I just got a Mantra 3 yesterday. How did you go about making the Detent better? Dremel tool like in the video on YouTube, or a different method? I want to do this in the coming weeks, and just looking at the different ways to go about it. This what I've been using. I've done a few this way and it's...

Re: Interest in Front Flipper by Spyderco?
Ric, Good point! I had to make my detent harder on the Sliverax, but gem of a knife! Somewhat like a reverse Smock, but I love the looks of the Shamwari. It has just the smallest profusion above the pivot to give it the leverage to be a front flipper. And looks elegant when open! Hamilton I just go...

Re: What’s next after getting the G-10 Tenacious?
I sent in my Tenacious Green G-10 with Black blade to Spyderco, because when I got it, the blade was touching the liner. I tried to straighten it, but couldnt. They said I will get a credit for it, to use in their store. In the meantime, I already got a Mantra 3. Liking it in the 12 hours I've had i...

Re: Why are so many people concerned with perfect blade centering?
I got a uncentered tenacious SE, I finally found out why after using a metal ruler on the blade, that it was at least 2mm-3mm off centre because it was bent to the left. I am having the same issue with my Tenacious, Green G10, with Black blade. The blade is pushed all the way to the non locking sid...
