Re: Spyderco 2021 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming
I don’t understand why they don’t ticn coat the cutting Engel of the knife? Wouldn’t that give it better edge retention and corrosion resistance?
It wouldn't be sharp anymore if you coat the cutting edge
It would also be temporary, as it would get worn away after the first time being ...

How much of a discount?StuntZombie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 6:23 pmI discovered that if you create an account on nationalknives.com, you get an "unadvertised discount" on Spyderco knives. It might work with other brands as well, but..I don't really buy any other brands anymore.

Re: Sharpening stone stones help
Yeah I think the cheaper Amazon stones are just Japanese wet stones - whatever that means. I kind of manly want it for my cheaper knives (aus8 8crs 440). Once I get good I think I’ll have to get some diamond stones.

Sharpening stone stones help
Hey all, I’m eventually probably going to get the sharpmaker but until I do I am going to get a regular bench stone to use. I used to have one from my grandfather like 20 years ago and could put a decent edge on my knives with it. Anyway, my question is are the ones on Amazon that have all the great ...

Re: Help with steel choice
I would advise giving fiberglass-reinforced nylon a second chance. Both G10 and FRN are plastic composites. Just because the FRN is lighter doesn't mean it's cheap or weak. Spyderco does a really good job with it and it has some functional advantages over G10, like its weight and ability to be ...

Help with steel choice
Hey everyone, I’m going to be getting a manix2 and am going crazy trying to figure out what steel I should get. I had a lightweight maxamet, but hated the plastic feeling of the scales so I returned it. So I’m thinking of trying to get the purple cru-wear exclusive, or the brown m390 one. Both seem ...

How does cru-wear stack up against m390? I was just about to order an m390 manix, but now I’m thinking of trying to get one of these

Re: Help with my first manix
**Update**. So it finally arrived and I have to say I’m a little disappointed. First off the box was kind of crushed and the plastic sleeve that holds the knife has some tearing where the ball bearing lock was, but ok, it was probably just from shipping and isn’t that big of a deal. I then noticed ...

Help with my first manix
Ok, I’ve wanted a manix2 for awhile now and mr fiancé bought me one for Xmas. It still hasn’t arrived yet (awesome postal service) and I’m already thinking of returning it. She ordered me the lightweight maxemet. I told her I wanted to wait for a sprint run that I wanted but this is what she got me ...
