Re: Native 5 FRN in S90V
I bought the C41PTBL5 model for my girlfriend as one of her Christmas gifts. She has been very happy with it so far, but I have not used it enough to comment on the S90V steel. (I have the C41CBL5 with SPY27, which I use a lot.) The Native 5 is a great knife due to its ergonomics. So, whichever stee...

Dragonfly 2 Salt - black or silver wire clip
Hi all, I received a Dragonfly 2 Salt this week with black hardware, but with a silver wire clip. The current photo appears to show a black wire clip: https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C28YL2/665 Do any of you know if there was a transition period where silver wire clips were used? Also, will...

Does anyone have a guess as to when these will be released? I am wondering if it might be sooner than this summer.

Re: bevelled Spydie hole?
Thanks for the feedback. This makes sense to leave it the way it is. I just thought I would inquire in case it had not been brought up before.
The Spydie hole on my Native 5 SPY27 feels fine for me. I just like thinking about possible design improvements.

bevelled Spydie hole?
I apologize if this has already been discussed. (I could not find anything within the forum on this.) Would it be possible to put a tiny bevel in the Spydie hole, or would the tolerance not allow for this? My thought was that if this was possible, it might feel just a tad bit more comfortable. Altho...

aircraft cable for lanyard hole
Hi all, Have any of you ever tried nylon coated aircraft cable for a lanyard hole? Hillman makes the following: https://www.hillmangroup.com/us/en/Custom-Solutions/Key-Accessories/Key-Chains-%26-Rings/Split-Rings-%26-Cable-Rings/Hillman-6%22-Cable-Ring-with-Lock/p/711078 I thought combining this wit...

Re: acid wash LC200N - damage, or no damage?
Thank you all for the feedback. TenGrainBread , thank you very much for the video link. I had not seen that before and if I had, I would have already come to the conclusion that I have now reached. I will not be doing this, as I do not like the look of how it turned out on LC200N. More importantly, ...

acid wash LC200N - damage, or no damage?
Hi all, I noticed that user razehound did an acid wash to a Caribbean: https://forum.spyderco.com/download/file.php?id=41026&mode=view I have been curious if this process damages the steel, ultimately affecting the corrosion resistance. So far, I found the following post on Reddit: https://www.r...

Re: Why did you join?
I became a bit of a Spyderco addict in the fall of 2020. I decided to join because I could not find some of the answers I was looking for and thought I might as well ask. The openness and helpful feedback has been wonderful. I may not post a lot, but I appreciate the wealth of knowledge given by so ...

Re: revival of UK Penknife FRN Rescue with LC200N?
I was comparing the tension of my Native 5 to my Step-Dad’s UK Penknife this past Monday. I think the Native 5 has more tension, but I do not think the difference is that much. I would assume the UK Penknife will be safe in your pocket.

Re: We finally got the UKPK Salt. Thank you Sal
Within this YouTube clip from Knife Center, Eric mentions around 23:43 that he wouldn’t doubt that they would do serrated as well, but that he did not completely have faith in that. https://youtu.be/OvtBU9FAdz0 I pre-ordered the C94SYL last evening. So, I truly hope that the serrated version is in f...

revival of UK Penknife FRN Rescue with LC200N?
Would anyone like to see a revival of the UK Penknife FRN Rescue, but with LC200N? It would be a great knife to keep in the car and then take for a hike, as it is lighter weight than the other rescue knives.

Re: Spyderco MSRP Increase for 2021?
I noticed a price difference for the new Atlantic Salt with LC200N. Most sites have it listed for $99.40. I found that GP Knives now has it listed for $123.90: https://www.gpknives.com/spyderco-atlantic-salt-serrated-satin-ffg-lc200n-green-frn-lightweight-folder-c89fsgr.html I am curious if this is ...

missed opportunity - showroom in Golden
On December 26 of 2019, my girlfriend and I arrived at her cousin’s house in Golden, Colorado, near State Highway 93. We were there until December 30. Because I had not begun to explore the knife world at this point, I was completely unaware of the existence of Spyderco. Due to the pandemic, we did ...

production version of Native 5 Salt LC200N combo
I am new to the world of Spyderco as of this fall. I have been researching a fair amount and I believe the ideal model for my needs would be a Native 5 Salt with LC200N and a combo blade. I assume that because the Never Summer (C41NSSRD5) model was created, the tooling probably already exists to cre...
