Re: Rivers Edge Cutlery Upcoming Exclusive
I can’t believe that was all of them already. I checked my email 2 minutes after it was sent out and it was already out of stock. I don’t understand how this system is better than having a set release time.

Very nice. I got mine the pink s30v with the satin finish. It was her first Spyderco and now she keeps asking me to get her the Pochi.

Re: What Will Be The First Magnacut Model?
The above speculation is for the first production model, not the very first release which I still think will be the Mule. Mules are made in Taiwan these days, I think, so I could be very wrong as to where the first production folder comes from. There are several mules that are still made in the US....

Re: What Will Be The First Magnacut Model?
I hope it will be the military family. The Millie, PM2, and Para 3 would be great. Personally I can’t wait til the para 3 gets magnacut. It might finally replace my maxamet para 3 as my most carried knife. The only question is what type of handle material and color would they choose? They have alrea...

Welcome!
The Shaman is a great choice, especially the cutlery shoppe exclusive. It looks great with the mxg clip.

Re: Para 3 LW poor scale grip vs D4
I don’t know why Spyderco can’t take their Seki formula and apply it to the Golden knives? I really much prefer the Japan FRN to the US one. It has a sort of micro texture that the US FRN doesn’t.

Re: eBay is crazy
eBay is crazy. It’s the Wild West. I have sold quite a few knives, always just no reserve auctions, and have been shocked at what I have sold some of them for. It doesn’t always go that way but if it is a desirable knife it’s possible. Yes I have been quite surprised at what some of my listings hav...

Re: Spyderco Para 2 M4 DLC BladeHQ Exclusive
I doubt it. I don’t think there are any fake tanto PM2s out there. Counterfeiters usually stick with the base models of knives from what I’ve seen. The most counterfeited ones are the s30v/black g10 or s30v/camo g10.

Re: RIT dye experiences?
Yes I would use the dyemore version as it does work better and easier to use.
I’ve only tried dyeing light colors darker. I heard that it doesn’t work well if trying to make colors lighter. So you may still be able to see the black spots on the zome pattern.

Re: FRN Take Over...
I don’t really care for FRN. While I understand its intended purpose, it just feels like cheap plastic to me. Also, the Golden, CO FRN is different than the Seki FRN. I much prefer the Seki texture over the Golden one. I’ve had LW Natives and Para 3s and I don’t like the texture compared to the deli...

I wish it would be a Sage 5 with g10 in their colorway but it seems most of their exclusives are from the golden factory.

Re: Pretty tight action PM3 LW
I agree with everyone else and say let it break in for a while before you adjust anything. After about a week if it is still too tight then you can try backing out the pivot screw an ⅛ of a turn.

Re: Para 3 and Para 3LW Blade swap?
I have personally tried this between an M390 Para 3 and a REX 45 Para 3 LW and it worked fine. I did it mostly because I was curious, but it’s important to note that both of my blades were satin finish. I have no idea how the DLC coating will affect this swap.

Bento Box Shop is a legitimate Spyderco dealer and I have ordered from them before. The only downside is that they tend to be much more expensive than other dealers (for the most part).
