Re: Endura grind

The stainless Enduras used to be hollow ground (the Delicas too). A few years ago, our Japanese maker switched them to a saber grind. We updated our product descriptions to reflect the change (https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C10/211), but have no control over our dealers' efforts to do the...

Re: Endura grind

I think some of the confusion may lie with the dealers. There are a bunch of listings that say hollow ground with some pictures even looking like a hollow grind. These are a few of the Endura 4 C10P listings with Hollow in the description and/or specs. https://cutleryshoppe.com/spyderco-c10p-endura...

Re: Endura grind

I see holes for more than one clip position, which makes it an Endura4. The Endura II in stainless was hollow saber grind like the Police (2) you were also looking at. The stainless Endura4 is flat saber grind. The Wiki is not infallible, but you have to watch for generational changes. Thanks for t...

Re: Endura grind

I was under the impression that the stainless scale model was the only Endura version ever advertised as hollow grind. Granted it always looked like a low hollow saber grind. But Spyderco's website now list it as saber grind. I wonder if it changed at some point. Thanks. Yes, it is a very shallow i...

I was under the impression that the saber ground Enduras have always been flat grinds, or at least most are. My old one is definitely flat, well it’s actually little convex now.
Ok, thanks.
I was going by the wiki table for the C10 which says hollow, but that may not be right.

Endura grind

To those more knowledgeable than I. In a nutshell, does this Endura look hollow ground? I bought it thinking and it was advertised as such, but if it is, (I can’t detect any) it’s extremely shallow and may as well be a flat sabre grind. Spydiewiki says the Stainless hasn’t ever come in a flat sabre ...

Re: Strongest Known Blade Lock for Spyderco Knives?

Bram takes credit for the comp lock and it’s copy the puzzle lock? Hi Jim, Bram Frank had nothing to do with the compression lock invention. I invented the lock. Confirmed the concept with Frank Centofante and Vince Ford. Vince made the early prototypes. Bram never even heard of the lock until we s...

Rounding the edges has definitely helped. For me taking the peak of the hump has made the most improvement.
