Edit: after 1 hour research, with given dimensions above, no washers found either in Europe or us.. It may be harder than I thought

Sal, I received your shipping yesterday. That is the reason why I was upset. In the shipping, there were 2 T6 screws and No washers. I was hoping for washers and was disappointed. If there was 2 different shippings from you, it may arrive but I doubt.

I don't claim warranty. I know this is my fault, but I'm disabled with very few strength in hands, as I explained to customer service.
I just asked for pb washers dimension: No answer
And asked for buying washers: another no.

Why not providing washers dimension? For security, it is better to ...

If anyone has time to measure the washers for FRN Chaparral ... i'm taking all information available

Found on the forum dimension for Ti Chaparral :
OD = 10 mm
ID = 4.5 mm
Thickness = .12 mm
I'll try with those measurements .... it's too bad information doesn't come from Spyderco when requested...
As you say, washers are not that expensive. Neither ...

That was my last Spyderco .. and I think won't buy anymore...

Pinched a washer after disassembling and cleaning my chaparral , 2 years ago...
Customer service contacted .. no way to buy a washer
Lost a washer 2 month ago
Contacted Customers service : no way to get ...

There is a gap for sure in the salt family ....
Anything in the 3inch edge lenght would fit the gap:
- Endela lw salt
- Stretch straight spine lw salt
- PM2 lw salt

There are many versions of 2.5inch edge length with salt2/tasman..../native 5 salt/maybe pm3 lw salt coming

Nice review, very informative for size comparisons ... As I have a FRN Chaparral, I was hesitating buying a DF2. I was afraid of a too short grip for 4 fingers. It seems that the grip length of the DF2 is very similar to the Chap's one...

I made my choice, I will definitely try the upcoming DF2 ...

.... a rather unique model like the Chap got some more variants too. So people who just happen to prefer other steels or even more so who´d like to experiment with different steels in this uniquely thin blade stock could try the Chap too....

I only use stainles steel as I want to be able to rinse quickly my knife after use and put it back in my pocket.
I may be wrong but I afraid of rust inside the mechanism ( on the blade near the pivot...). Even if so many positive ...

you've been bitten hard by the spider :) .. but when you see the collection of some of the members yours is still very small. You are going to make friends happy with nice gifts like that ;)

I am also in a hurry to try many knives to find the bests knives for my different uses ...

August this year was the month to visit Paris... Few tourists, few Parisians, sunny summer... But At the bottom of the Eiffel Tower, I forgot my Chaparral in the pocket. First checkpoint, no problem. Just checking the bagpack... I felt lucky. Bought tickets and then... Fail.... X-ray checkpoint. I ...

So that night I became a fan of Calvedos.

Nice to hear it. I stick with eating apples. To much bad Calvados, distilled by grandfathers in their garage. At least, eating apples allows me to use my knives ;)
