Re: Extreme LC200N (Accidental) Corrosion Test
I don't think they're LC200N. Spyderco just calls them "stainless steel":
Definitely makes more sense to use a more stainless steel if edge holding isn't a concern, especially since they're cheaper and that's a pretty good slab of them on each side. I bet it's a 300-series stainless.
I'm ...

Re: Extreme LC200N (Accidental) Corrosion Test
As I understand it, most springs are hardened to some extent to give them there, well spring. I'm pretty sure that liner is just stamped out of a flat piece of steel, and the compression lock is bent into place some how, maybe with heat?
Also, as I understand it, the liners are made from LC200N not ...

Re: Extreme LC200N (Accidental) Corrosion Test
Very possible. To clarify a bit, it basically wiped off of the polished blade, the liners and pivot track of the blade took a worn red scotch brite and some barkeeper's friend. So a little more effort than just wiping off. Though, there was definitely some kind of Corrosion as the compression lock ...

Re: Extreme LC200N (Accidental) Corrosion Test
My understanding is that the Screws and pocket clip are titanium, and the reason the CQI version now has the black costed screws is because there was some galvanic corrosion issues, the coating was ment to isolate the screws from the LC200N. I could be mistaken though.

Re: Can't find a plain leaf Caribbean anywhere !
I recently received a CQI PE Sheeps foot carribean so I thought I would give my thoughts on it. I've owned a couple dragonflys, Pacific salt, 2 Delicas and Para 3 LW so this will be my 5th style of Spyderco. I'm a sailor, and my Pac salt was taken by TSA when I was flying back into the US from ...

Re: Can't find a plain leaf Caribbean anywhere !
Anyone have news on this? I can't find a plain edge (sheepfoot or leaf) anywhere. Assuming if it was actually under review covid didn't help.
