Out of the Spyderocos I own which includes the Smock , GB2 and about a dozen others the one that is closest to my Southard is my Advocate it's thinner but feels the same overall size wise and shape in my hand.

Fixall sir I completely agree with you I too am really excited to get one of these I have buying a lot of knives trying to find the right one for me. I have over a dozen Spydercos now and still have not found the right one. So I am hoping this one will be it.

I got a fake one and the fastest way to tell is use a magnet and check if it sticks to the frame side of the knife. I too have been waiting to find one again in stock to play with for a few more minutes than the first time I saw one but I was not looking for that knife at that time. Like others I an not crazy about the black scales they come with on the original. These natural scales don't excite me at all but ...

There is a lot of SE blades on the cover. Just wondering what else is coming this time around ?

I can understand where your coming from my Sage 5 LW was my second Spyderco and today I have the sage 5 and picked up a Sage 1 because of the liner lock style which works better for me. Nice job :D

Sharp Guy sir I think the Pattada is a little long for me...blade wise but I am liking some of the shorter knives I own. So a Pattadese looks like it just might the right size blade wise the handle we will see.

my Spyderco collection so far in the order they were bought L>R.

I carry a Mantra 2 everyday and has replace my knife I still have and carried for over 15 years. I just wish the handle was just a 1/2" longer then it would be a perfect fit for my hand...but out the 12 Spydercos I own now it goes with me everywhere even church. :-}
