Re: Different knife different day, or one knife for life?

JayHenMac, You're not alone! Think of the Forum as a multi-step help program, (but no one ever reaches their goals, whatever they may be, and no one graduates :winking-tongue.) We're are here for you! Anyway, enough of the pep talk. I'll do the same as you, then I'll even switch later in the day as ...

Re: Caribbean Clip Screw Hole Problem

I'm late to the party, and don't know where you live, but I'm surprised no one mentioned that Spyderco will send out replacement clips. Now I know you don't need a clip, but they also send screws and threadlocker with the clips. If you had contacted them they probably would have sent you a bunch of ...

Personally Spyderco knives are becoming pocket hogs… no thanks.
Maybe Spyderco is not for you?
Really, nobody’s forcing you to buy anything.

Re: What does “ergonomic” mean to you?

A knife with a 50/50 choil for my index finger, and a choil for my middle finger has a very ergo feel to it. With these my thumb naturally sits on the thumb ramp without having to rock my wrist forward or backward. My whole hand and wrist are in a relaxed position. With different sized knives my han...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?

Here, here!

I bought another brand of knife with a back lock on it last weekend. Out if the box the thumb studs were loose and it didn’t snap shut properly. I thought, this thing is far worse than any factory second Delica so I returned it.

Here’s what I’m toting today.

Re: I don't give a #@$! about stainless

Corrosion wise, none of my knives have been affected by rain, snow, or working in climate controlled rooms. (30-50% humidity) So, I can buy knives with virtually any steel blade. I think I read in an issue of the Spyderco byte last year that Spyderco is using 35 different kinds of steel, (or was it ...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

I was using my M4 Tenacious to cut away insulation on some exterior water pipes yesterday. I had to cut off some older foam and tape to square up the ends so I just pressed through the old stuff and used the pipes like a cutting board. Today, I was rebuilding a faucet and scraping minerals and scale...

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

This seems like the perfect place to point this out. Notice the laser engraved Spyder is different color on yellow salt. I wonder if it’s because of magnacut or a different process. The other manix are s110v,rex45,bd1,and 15v. I didn’t want to make a thread if I’m just stating a dumb observation. h...

Re: Newby Spiderco owner

Yes, welcome to the Spyderco Forums, DocRobbs. My first three Spyderco’s were two of the smaller Delica’s and a Sharpmaker—thirty years ago. Now after purchasing a couple hundred more Spyderco’s and the latest version of the Sharpmaker I find that the Sharpmaker does a great job on any knife; It’s t...

Re: A Tip For Cleaning Sharpmaker Stones

In order of ease of use and sloppiness I've used old school rubber erasers or newer polymer erasers for a quick job of cleaning up the TriAngles or Benchstones. I've used Walmart branded magic erasers. (cheaper than national brands) And for the best cleaning job, once or twice a year, Comet or Ajax ...

Ready for round two?

The owner probably trebled the value of the car with the new wheels and Bridgestone tires. :winking-tongue

This must be a Yaris with the rare towing package as evidenced by the trailer hitch. 😉

Re: Got A Chuckle Out Of This

I think they mean the materials will not degrade in water. I don't know how they would properly word that on a small tag though? In 75 or 76 I was in California scrambling around large boulders (barefoot) on a beach while trying to avoid spiked urchins or sea anemones and I lost my grip on the rock...
