Re: Native 5 salt - magnacut or lc200n - help me pick

If you have loads of LC, I'd suggest to try the MagnaCut. I have a bunch of LC and a little MC. Both are great. If you're sharpening s30v to your satisfaction, then you will do well with MC with the same kit. Not sure why anyone is bringing K390 into the discussion? It's an awesome steel, but in a t...

My preferred is a hawkbill serrated. That list bit of the tip is still a plain edge, hawk bill makes all cutting effortless. Wish there was an hawkbill enduramodel
There was... the SpyderHawk. It was based on the endura 3 handle. It was discontinued long ago and sprinted more recently.

I love the model, I have two.

The handle shape is not well suited to wet conditions for my hands and uses.

My K390 Delica has been a steady companion at work for a while now. I rotate for fun once in a while, or if work conditions or demands shift, yet the K390 Delica is unobtrusively good and just performs.

I've been on this GEC and Waynorth kick the past few months. I really lucked out last week- I hadn't expected to get the white bone Waynorth...

.... but here it is with my perennially most-precious Spyderco:

The Kris and the SpydieChef are always pleasing. As much as i like and use my Glesser designed Spydercos, these two are top of my collection, along with these two Waynorths.

Re: Dual grit sharpmaker

Is there a preferred side to make coarse or fine based on the user's handedness? I swap them over after about five sharpenings, as the coarse side tends to lose more metal over time from the more aggressive rod. Switching the rods balances the bevels out again before it becomes too wonky. Thanks. M...

Sal leaks something vague. Excitement ensues. Then the wait will continue.

It looks slim and with a smallish round hole.

Could be very cool. Scale contouring is curious.
