Re: SpyderSaw

Something like this would be nice for handling smaller limbs (<1") when camping and hiking. Basically, it would be a SAK saw on steriods. I know a Silky is more ideal, but their thick handles make the awkward to carry when casually hiking (i.e. without a pack). For less than 1" most peopl...

Re: SpyderSaw

I can't think of any scenario where I'd grab this before heading out. There are much better tools for the listed scenarios above. If this was all you had sure, but I cringe thinking about having to sharpen this or use this for sawing for any length of time. Thin handles and saws are not a good combo...

Sort of unrelated but does the compression lock ever have any problems locking if it gets a bunch of dust on it? I plan on using at a construction site.
Blow it out and it will be fine. I visit west Texas often, trail ride SxS's, and my beard is 20% dust.

My wife's Dragonfly, my sister in laws future Native 5 (when I see her next), and my imaginary future para 3 LW(don't care what steel).

Not pictured is my wife's teal Delica, which may or may not be in one of her various purses.

Re: Teal Para 3

I think it'll happen sooner or later. My wife has both the teal dragonfly and delica. I just got the teal Native for my sister-in-law. I want a teal para 3 lw myself, especially seeing the teal shade of the Native vs. the seki verions.

Re: Vanax PM2 Lets Do This!!!

No one requested a folding dive knife. It takes a few moments of critical thinking to realize that concept wouldn't play out well. Have you ever worked in the Sun in Guam in September? Your pocket ends up being just as wet and salty as the ocean; if not more so. Perfect use case for this concept. T...

Re: NEW: MGE Wholesale Teal Native5 Exclusive

I think KnifeJoker got the MSRP wrong, so the preorder price is significantly higher than it should be (like $45 dollars high). Must be something wrong with his website. It shows $122 on the homepage which is what I saw on the product page a few hours ago, but now the product page lists it at $163....

Re: Six-Thousand Nine-Hundred Forty Days

I remember going into my auto shop class at a local community college first thing in the morning. We were all discussing how we could legally leave the class after 10 minutes if the teacher didn't show. About 20 minutes past the hour the teacher walked in with a radio and said we'd been attacked. He...

The Texas flag is a CQI. Spoken like a true Texan. Real Texans say it while standing in Durango Colorado though....... If you're questioning my Texas authenticity, I'll have you know at 13 yrs. old during my first visit to Colorado, I questioned the sanity of a Wendy's cashier for not having a Texa...

Re: Golden Quality

After the Cru-carta Shaman, every single one of the 5 Shamans I’ve had has had the show-side tip over-ground. It’s a flaw in the sharpening robot’s programming. Here’s my best picture of it. It doesn’t look severe from this bad angle, but the edge bevel was 1.5-2 times as tall at the tip than the a...

Re: SNK Native 5 G10

Well that was frustrating. Browser issue and bam, sold out. Geez Spyderco really should require higher minimums. That was too fast. They do require higher minimum number of pieces for exclusives now. I'm guessing this batch was ordered before that new minimum was implemented. That's good to know. I...

Re: Long-term pakkawood scale use?

I have had my pakkawood Endura for a while, maybe a year or so. I baby it (anniversary gift), but I carry it often (Endura is a little big for my tastes but it makes my SO happy when I carry it). I haven't done anything to the handles, I only keep the blade oiled. It still looks like new. Now that I...

Re: River's Edge PM2

Anyone have word on how the coating holds up? My Para 3 has held up fine, would look new if I cleaned it probably. I carry it semi often, use it to open boxes, cut cardboard, zip ties, and paracord. It's not my camp knife so it's not hard use though. If I didn't know it I would think it was just li...

Re: The Next Delica

I would like to see production of the Delica moved to the US, and more G10 models. I'm not a big fan of the Delica(frn, backlock). My wife has about 10 of them, loves backlocks. We both have the St. Nicks Delica though.
