Re: Slysz Bowie out of stock everywhere?

As a prominent Slysz Bowie enthusiast, I've had a few viewers mention to me that it's out of stock nearly everywhere, and one place mentioned no estimates. Any ideas, comments, or insights? I really hope Spyderco isn't going to discontinue it! Thanks for the post Nick. I figured I was out of luck ...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

Used my S30 DLC Shaman to cut cardboard for NRA pistol class I was running yesterday for target backers. Only hard part was the heavy gauge hard plastic zip ties when I was tearing down.

Re: Any sprint runs or exclusive Yo2 in the works?

I have the standard, the S90/Brown G10 and the 20CV/CF and find myself EDCing the S90/Brown G10 DLC variant a lot. It does great on anything I have tried and I expect it will do about anything other than skinning really well.

Re: Spyderco Sheepsfoot Blades: Likes, Dislikes and Favorite Models?

I have been using the Caribbean in plain edge / sheepsfoot variant. I dyed the handles so it is no a black / grey handle and I like it very much.

Re: Kapara CQI

My first run Kapara was exceptional - no observed issues whatsoever just had to adjust for the sharpened edge length difference between that and my PM2 for closing without giving myself small cuts on my index finger lol... What were the issues requiring change? Welcome to the Spydero Forums, Kleon ...

Re: What's wrong with S30V?

I was having this exact question running through my mind the last couple days. I use a Millie and YoJimbo 2 in S90V a lot but lately have been carrying and using the S30V Shaman for everything I have been doing mainly kitchen and packaging / cardboard disposal / zip ties etc. I have to say that S30V ...

Hi Kleon,

Welcome to our forum.

sal
Thank you sir. I have been using your work for decades starting with my Gin-1 Co-Pilot and Police Models up to my current addiction the YoJimbo and Shaman... although the Military has not left the left pocket of my duty pants for 20 years...

Re: Share your CPM154/S90V laminate experiences here

I would go with the CF 154/S90 variant if you are going to use it in slippery conditions in terms of grip. The Marbled CF is gorgeous but is slippery comprared to that of the peel ply CF laminated knife. I have both so have had both in hand. User -go the laminate bladed route, safe queen the 4V ...

Re: What happened to the Kapara

I for one am happy to see this knife being produced again. Keeping my fingers crossed for some sprint runs / limited edition runs as well. Would really enjoy something in Cruwear or similar in a brown or OD green G10.

Re: Spyderco and law enforcement personnel

I have carried a Military for as long as there has been one on patrol in my LE job (retired after 27 yrs and started with a new dept next day). Prior to that used a Police. The rank and file in our dept. adopted them almost across the board after an Israeli shooting / dt instructor introduced the ...

Re: Kapara, strong compression lock

MIne was a but stiff at first but with nothing but some spydie flicking repetition it smoothed up to equal my well broken in PM2. Very good action indeed after a little use.

Re: What's the big deal with this Kapara ?

My Kapara is light, elegant and as smooth as a nicely broken in PM2 with some use. Blade shape and clip are vastly different than the PM2. Usefulness as an EDC is equal for my needs in food prep, box and cordage work, and general utility. If you like the PM2 and either like of don't mind the wire ...
