Re: All my pivot screws loosen themselves.

It happens to me on non-Spyderco folders. Just a matter of time. That being said, it has never happened in a matter of days. It’s more like years.

Nope, still waiting for my first ever Spyderco to drop - Native 5 Salt.

It could be a month to two.

I just received my production sample of the Native Salt in LC.

A month or two? Say it ain’t so. How am I going to avoid buying a Spydiechef for a month or two while I wait for the Native 5 Salt to come out?!

any updates?
Saw that Sal mentioned somewhere recently that they have some in production. Other than that, I haven’t heard anything else.

If the Native 5 Salt ever gets released, I’ll be more than happy to give it a run with the LC200N. I’ve almost ordered 10 knives while waiting for that fricken’ thing to drop.
It's a conspiracy, the Native 5 Salt doesn't exist! O.o
I knew it! Spydiechef it is.

Re: In praise of the orange...

As a bank fisherman, I really appreciate the brighter colored handles. Spent more than my fair share of time cursing and sorting through piles of leaves for a black handled knife I’ve dropped while changing baits. God forbid the blade has a coating. Those things disintegrate when they touch the grou...

Re: Do you care about deep carry?

I’m willing to bet that 99.99% of people you come across on a daily basis have no clue whether or not someone is carrying a knife regardless of the clip type. People are pretty much blind and deaf when it comes to their surroundings these days - eyes on phones with earbuds in. The .01% of people tha...

Re: A not-so-tough H1 experience..

Personally, I don’t judge a knife (or its steel) by its ability to do things it wasn’t designed to do. Can I cut grass with a chainsaw? Probably, but I wouldn’t say it was a bad chainsaw based on my ragged looking lawn afterwards. Well it's up for debate wether cutting wires is a knife job or not. ...

I really like the look of the bleached side. Now, I just need to buy one, take the scales off, and leave it outside for a year.

Re: Warranty and Modified Knives

I don't know about the warranty, but I will say that my two modified Delicas and one modified Endura are three of my favorite Spydercos. I went with a couple of "Red Dragon" models and let me tell ya, they came sharp as razors. The regrinds are superb. The way I looked at it, I have only ...

Re: Warranty and Modified Knives

There shouldn't be an issue with the warranty unless the modification or disassembly/reassembly of the knife itself causes damage, or if you tried to claim they owe you new oem scales under it lol. My best advice is to read the policy. It's all spelled out pretty explicitly on the warranty page: ht...

Warranty and Modified Knives

If I were to purchase a Spyderco marked as “modified” from a retailer (see example below), would I essentially be buying a Spyderco without the warranty?

Thanks

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

Ugh. I was so stoked about this knife, but the more I read about the steel, the less I think I’m going to buy one. I’m just not one for blade maintenance. Never oiled a blade in my life. Sometimes don’t even rinse them off. Guess I’ll continue to wait for the Native 5 Salt. Seems like a steel tailor...

Re: Advanced Rit Dye Techniques?

Hot glue works great. That’s how we used to create patterns on the heads of lacrosse sticks we would dye. You can even pick pieces off as you go, and then re-dunk what you’re dyeing. Creates a faded/layered effect with crisp lines. It takes a bit to get used to using the glue gun to make really cris...

Re: St. Nick's Knives Exclusive Para 3

Personally, I love the look of the Delica. I eyed it hard as my first Spyderco, but as a non-steel guy (All my stuff is run of the mill like 154CM.) I couldn’t justify the extra hundred bucks for the scales and coated blade. My EDCs in the everyday steels have done everything I’ve ever asked of the...
