how many steps ya'll average in a work day? 18-20k for me.

Image
Anywhere from 10 to 20k, depending on how busy it is. I used to average a minimum of 20k a day at my previous job, but these days, I spend just as much time, if not more, operating a vehicle as I do on my feet.

Anyway, here's a leaf-shape blade Caribbean with the G-Shock GW-B5600CY-1JF, a version of the classic "G-Shock Square" that was released as part of the limited production Caution Yellow series:
IMG_20250216_140854_684.jpg
This is almost the perfect everyday/work watch for me: it has G-Shock's legendary durability, Multiband 6 atomic clock synchronization, Tough Solar, and Casio app functionality via Bluetooth connection (being able to change the watch's settings using an app instead of long sequences of button presses using the tiny watch buttons is a huge convenience). What holds it back is the negative display: It looks cool & all, but it is nowhere near as legible in dim light as a standard display without using the backlight. If they ever make a version of the 56xx with all the GW-B5600CY-1JF's features but with a standard display, that might be the last watch I'll ever buy.
My most recent reviews:

Don’t get into watches. It will make you poorer than knives will.
