Congrats on the successful relocation Paul. Did you stop at New Graham on the way? Don't forget to have a sweet tea and some boiled peanuts. I'll be in NC in a few weeks visiting family and the Smokies- I will be sure to do both myself, and hopefully stop by the pharmacy if the wife allows.

Been in my new house in SC since noon last Friday and, as of yesterday, the Tacoma has an SC plate on it and I have an SC drivers license. My stuff should be here in a couple more hours and then I'll have six weeks of unpacking to look forward to.
Paul,
Congrats on completing operation "move to south".
Just wondering if your neighbors call you "Yankee"? :D

Congratulations on the move and good luck.

bh49 mentioned you being called a "yankee". Just so you will know, that term only applies to visiting yankees. Yankees who come and stay are called "**** yankees".

Another tidbit of southern info: When a couple gets divorced, they ARE still cousins. :D

Not yet, at least not to my face. :p

What's funny is...

About a week before the move I called a store here to order a new bed. Salesman is originally from Schenectady.

At the closing, the realtor for the seller mentioned that he's originally from Pennsylvania.

Fellow who came out to install my internet and phone service is originally from Rochester.

One teller at the bank where I opened an account is from the Buffalo area, another from Massachusetts.

Cashier at the one supermarket I visited is from The Bronx.

So, I may be a Yankee, but this place was crawling with them before I got here. :D

Small World Paul isn't it....I think you will find most of the people you run into are from up north somewhere....If you want to find someone from SC you are going to have to go deeper into the woods...see...they are all hiding from you people :p Doc :D

Welcome to SC! I can't believe I just read this thread today, I thought it was about some movie. :o

My wife and I have been in SC the last 23 +/- years and like it very much. We live about two hours south of Greenville in North Augusta.

Hey Paul, Congrats on the move and good luck unpacking those boxes! I just completed my own relocation. I've moved back east, back home, closer to friends and family. While we're now living in our new home, it's not complete until 'my study' is complete. I'll probably spend a few more weeks fixing up the house before I can completely unpack and display my collection.
