Still truckin along with some serrations. Waiting for the aha moment. I think I'll pass on reprolfiling it. I'm about 12-16% complete with that project. Resharpening on the other hand is not bad at all. Actually very nice. The platform, still a winner.
...

Meaning you don't really like SE?

Could you elaborate why? (Honest question out of real interest in that type of edge )

Back to the knife that kicked of my love and preference for SE: The Endela.

Great serration pattern imo, and after carrying the Stretch XL SE quite a bit, the Endela with its liners actually feels hefty and sturdy, though it is very close to a Manix 2 LW in (light) weight...

Also like the a bit stronger tip.

With me on a throwing session with an Oversoul, a Vengeance and two Top Dog throwers.

I don't know. My first SE. I have been carrying it exclusively for almost a week. Just trying to see if there is any advantage to me. I'm going to keep carrying it for awhile to see if it changes my preferences.

my guess is that you may end up finding the utility of se and may decide to carry it in addition to pe, but it probably won't replace pe for you. unless most of your cutting requires se, pe is more pleasant to use, in my opinion. but i do carry both and default to se if i only carry one.

I do EXACTLY what LB is talking about but I never default to just carrying one, always have a pe and a se on me all the time…there are just some things one does better than the other and you’ll see if you keep carrying the se…I was in your exact situation not too long ago 😉👊

I could definitely see that. I can see why the edge would hold up for longer and how it would be powerhouse of cutting force in an emergency setting. I can also see how it can begin a cut much easier with certain material.

I did have some hard rubbery plastic material that I thought a PE would just skip off of so I took out this SE Leaf Jumper, folded the material in my hand and blasted right through it. I was impressed. For giggles I tried the same thing with my K390 Endura with a nice edge. It zipped right through it too. :rofl I need to try it on some zip ties. I use zip ties like duct tape. Fixes everything! It typically gives PE some trouble unless you can get under it and pry with the edge.

This beauty came in the mail today. It's a Para 3 LW S90V with grooved titanium scales. The thing is absolutely awesome! I wish I knew where the scales came from. I've never seen titanium scales like this, any ideas as to who makes them?
