forget a bloody D2 knife in a kitchen sink with a drippy faucet for a few hours and you'll get a very slight patina in places.

Does the patina ever stabilize, or does it continue to darken indefinitely until it’s… how dark?
I’m not crazy about staining, but an even coloring like the blade in gooeytek’s photos doesn’t look bad at all.
I’d been avoiding non-stainless Spydies so far. I’d have thought that a DLC coating might be good on non-stainless steel.

You dont have to let your blade patina :D If you stay on top of cleaning and oiling the blade with something like tuffglide or the like it should stay like it came from the factory. If you do want a light patina----I think Jackknife did this, but he let his blade patina until he liked the way it looked and now he uses tuffglide to keep the patina the same. You really are missing out on a good steel in M4 if you are avoiding non-stainless!

I just bought a user 3.5 Caly Super Blue and I easily removed the old patina and put my personal touch to it now..
Today I got a user PARA-1 - D2 but the Patina is much harder or almost impossible to remove any tip's or suggestions..
pic`s will up soon

Sandpaper will help remove the patina on the D2 Para.
