Good to see this thread back up. Just a word I forgot to say a while back about my list. For anyone looking for Three Floyds brewery, it's brewed in NW Indiana and is only distributed in the Chicago-land area.

Find any keepers Bluntrauma?

Tonight is Belgian Chimay Ale - straight from the Monastery. I could get used to this stuff!

So, with it being so hot out I have been really looking for good summer selection so I though I'd bring this back up to find out what your summer favorites are?

I have found a couple that have really been going down well on a hot day.

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis (I love this beer)

Sam Adams Summer Pilsner

Wells Banana Bread Beer

Saint Arnolds Texas Wheat

So what are you guys drinking to get through the summer?

Bells Oberon, possibly the best summer beer of all time. Clearly just my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Don't really have a favorite. Bought a Troegs Anthology sampler last week. Didn't feel like cooking tonight, so I'm having theirSunshine Pils with a shrimp cocktail and a large salad.

Hey Deacon you like your hops don't you? Looked at the IBU's on the one you listed and it was 45. I am finding for me personally that once it reaches 40 it's a bit much for me. Looks like a solid beer though. Have never seen it down here in the south. I tried a new one yesterday that was outstanding. It was Weihenstephaner Heffeweissbier Dunkel. I am finding that I really like the heffes.

For hoppy beers I highly recommend trying

Victory Hop Devil
Victory Hop Wallop
Troegs Pale Ale

Belgian beers are indeed wunderful.

The one I like the most though is from the local abby at Gembloux.
On the tap at the annual knife show in the same town.

Can't say I've ever had that one, but will have to try that, if I can find it around here, since there are a number of heffes I like. My tastes are all over the place, but I do seem to favor the hoppy ones. FWIW, the Sunshine Pils is not even the hoppiest beer in the sampler. that would be the Hopback Ale. :D

Oh **** yes! :D

But I had it before I started drinking beer and "regrew" it after a diet while tea-total, so it's a BBINO. :p

I love Negra Modelo. It is what most of the mexicans I work with drink. Its a dark beer Duh! I like Newcastle (English) and Moretti (Italy) but normally stick to Budweiser and Rolling Rock-I tend to drink more than the average guy.

right now in my keg cooler, we have a half barrel of Live Oak Pilz- made right here in Austin.

Real Ale's Full Moon Pale Rye Ale is one of my other Texas favorites.

North by Northwest's (local brewer) Blackjack Ale is good. it's a Belgian Dark aged in Jack Daniels bourbon barrels.

...no beer belly here. only beer goggles and beer muscles.

I've been drinking beer regularly for about 10 years and I don't have a beer belly.

Well, once or twice a week regularly, not every day.
