In my very unofficial (prone to Senior Moments) count, I only noticed four responses involving Swiss Army Knives out of 39 posts. Wow!! How do y'all pull cactus thorns from your fingers without a SAK tweezers? :D Yep, on more than one occasion. Lots of cacti here in Florida.
I love and use many premium knives including (in no particular order) the Delica, SnG, Sebenza, and 110. I have owned and used these knives for many years and purchased each relatively soon after their respective introductions. I would never be caught out and about sans one of these knives. I predate their arrival on the knife scene and lovingly refer to them as the "Wonder Knives".
But..........long before any of the Wonder Knives were introduced, I relied on any of several SAK's for daily use. The SAK's did everything I reasonably asked of them, and then more.
While I EDC one of the above listed knives depending on my mood or the tasks at hand that day, I ALWAYS have a SAK or two on me. They are just too handy to leave behind.
So, my combo will always be a premium knife (or two) paired with a SAK (or two).
Cheers,
dan :)

My EDC pairs are always... triplets.
Knife, light, multitool (or SAK).
Only one folder at a time. The multitool has a blade, and that's the one I use for "beater" tasks. If needed, the fourth item to be carried will be another light, to complement and/or backup the primary one, since batteries and electronics are prone to failures (or the batts just get used up).

i guess i technically have 5 combos but they arent really combinations
going to work (usually go straight out from work so this gets a lot of carry time): Foliage Green D4
days off etc: White D4, British Green ZDP D4, Black on Black D4, or Orange UKPK
Rotating these 4 on a daily basis just about.

Here of late I've kind of gone off of my traditional EDC combo. Lately I've been carrying an SE, 440V Native and a G-10 Harpy.
Now when I'm out in the timber or up at the farm or working hard I carry my C-44 big Dyad along with my Tasman Salt & ZDP-189 Caly Jr.
Fixed blade favorites are the Temperance.

Also a one knife at a time kind of guy (ignoring the orange Ladybug on the keys :D ) but different carries for different scenarios:
Sweats around the house - PE blue Dodo. Very functional and there's always something bigger close by if needed. It's thin, light and very effective.
Yardwork shorts/jeans - SE Tasman Salt. A great pruning/weeding/ bag opening knife I don't mind getting dirty.
Out and about in the world - Some variety here but typically a Lil'Temp, Sage or Milie depending exactly where. Maybe soon a Phoenix will find it's in this rotation?? I hope so.

I always carry little douk douk after my grandfather in wallet, little v-nox classic with green alox handles and SPD Tenacious in front pocket of my jeans... of course I forget on our traditional "fish" knife (little key ring knife in shape of fish) - aluminium handles, little high carbon blade - scary sharp.

If i am at work I prefer my paramilitary only and a spydercard in my wallet.
On my days off when i wear jeans I've grown quite fond of a P'kal and Harpy, both in my RFP and the SpyderCard in my wallet

I was carrying a p'kal in Right front pocket and my kris in the left front pocket on duty. The p'kal mysteriously opened up in my pocket and sliced my uniform pants and was protruding out half opened. Luckily my swinging hand did not find the blade. Getting up,down from a desk or in and out of a car with a bunch of equipment on must have caused my inner pocket to bunch up and catch the wave. The p'kal will be plain clothes and off-duty carry from this point.
The Yo has been riding up front with the kris on the left this week. I want another kris to carry a pair for dress........I really like the kris! :D My next Spydy will be hopefully a pair of Police 3's. I really think those will be fit for edc cop duty. I hope you were just speaking of spydy folders. A fixed blade or two is on board at times. Take care all and Episteme, you are really trying to fly onto the Doc's radar! :D

I do a vg10 Cali3 and a Leatherman Charge. That covers all the bases for me.
