Just picked up a new Spydie from Sawyer's via Ebay. Great knife, great price, and great service, can't beat that.

I buy from him using his on line store. Never been to the shop. Hingham could be over an hour to get to through killer traffic from where I am, 10 mi north of Boston.

In fact just ordered a Sharpmaker yesterday from Sawyer's.

Locally, all I've found are the common mall knife stores with full retail prices. They've got a handful of Spyderco's bigger sellers (Delica, Endura, Police, etc), but that's about it.

the SFO is about 20 mins. from my house. otherwise there are several sporting goods and hunting stores that carry a few spyderco knives.

The latest word from Gadget Co. is no :spyder: s in stock...kershaws and benchmades, though. Sorry, b-elliott...I was gonna check them out today--good thing I called first, the toll road would have sucked more than ever if I had made a dry run. :rolleyes:

Another update on Fayetteville's selection: Lewis & Clark Outfitters has a fair selection...but the prices are above msrp I think, though. Some of the main possibilities in town are Uncle Sam's Safari Outfitters, Outdoor America, Ozark Sportsman, and various pawn shops that usually have nil quality. I have not checked 'The Pack Rat' yet, but I bet they might have one or two.

Living near a college town definately has its adavantages :D

Sorry about that. I glad you called first! Pack rat does have a few, but if memory serves prices and selection are about the same as Lewis and Clark. I always hit those stores when I go down to check out camping gear and AG Russel's for knives. I did get a Benchmite from Ozark Sportsman at a good price.

A few years ago I was walking around Utica Sq after visiting the Gaget Co and saw a :spyder: sticker in the window of a furnature (at least I think it was furnature??? Don't remember for sure) shop on the other side of the Square. It was a store that was geared towards women so I was a little embarassed to go in and ask about knives. Well when I did ask, a young lady opened a cubard full of spyderco's (More than the Gaget co had at the time). It was when the C65 - Lum Chinese came out because she had one. Apparently she liked knives and a friend owned the shop and let sell descretely from there. If anyone is near the square they might look around and see if the place is still there, but I suspect she either moved to a different spot or closed up shop because only a trained eye would pick out the logo and then go in and ask

Very few shops in my area handle Spyderco knives. I don't really worry that much about it, instead researching the knives on the internet.

Here's my take on the "feel" issue...I'll adjust my taste to the knife's "feel" and get used to it. It works for me.

Knives A Lot in Altamonte Springs is a great shop. They have about 3,000 knives in the shop at any time, including 50 or so Spydercos. Steve and Robert are very knowledgeable and are very customer-oriented. No pressure, look and touch all you want.

We have some shops here, but mostly only Delicas or Enduras are in.
I buy dirrectly from :spyder: dealer, best price you can get here..
