Kristi,
The menu button in the top left corner the 3 bars, on the website are not working right now. Everything else on the header is fine. Just the three bar menu tab is mia...
Edit: I rebooted my galaxy android cell phone, thinking it might be that, since the new site worked perfect last night.
Still not there, you can click on anything else on the website and that works fine. Then the three bar tab menu button will work sometimes from there but if you back all the way to the home screen, that menu button doesn't work. The hamburger menu is not hamburgering lol..
Sorry to be the pitb...

I see NO LINK TO
Forum.
Like old site.
Click the menu button in the top left corner and select "Forum" (three stacked lines, also known as a Hamburger menu). The menu is now under that button instead of in tabs across the top of the site.
THX.

I most often refer to the Spyderco official site to look at the catalog and reveals and to refer to archived products.
I'm feeling naked now that the archived products aren't there!

Definitely looks great. Will have to get used to the navigation after many years of using the old site, but it looks like it will be worth it.

Agreed, the Archived Products section or even getting hits for older models that aren't made any more and being able to see all the details, was very valuable.

I work as a web developer for a living and would recommend a few small changes:
- The letter spacing and font size for "Account" in the hamburger menu is inconsistent with the other menus.
- The sort by filter on the product page should say "Low to High" or "A-Z" instead of ascending/descending where appropriate.
- There is still no general "Folding Knives" category in the Shop -> Categories menu within the hamburger menu.
- Might want to consider making the CTA on the billboards stand out more; I didn't even realize they were there.
- The email address field in the newsletter sign up box has a gray box that seems out of place (looks like an error container that is empty by default, but still has a display property on it).
- In dark mode, the "byte | Stay Informed" graphic in the newsletter sign up section doesn't have good contrast since the image itself has black text. Swap it out when in dark mode, or split the image into two pieces and run an invert CSS image filter on it.
- There is a link to a Cigna.com page related to health insurance premiums in the footer ("Transparency in Coverage") that doesn't seem like it belongs.
- Spydiewiki link is in the footer (cool!), but not under "Edge-u-cation" in the menu where it might be a nice touch.
- On the home page, move the Featured Product categories above the "Welcome to Spyderco" message; this will give people quick access to product categories above the fold.
Looks good otherwise!

anyone know what's up with the "spy-derco.com" site? this an alternate company site, or a phish trap

Tried to order an item but the OPS FOCUS discount was not applied. I also could not find anything stating I was verified as discount eligible. Can someone please advise?

They appear to be crooks running a copy of Spyderco's old site. They're located in Iceland. Earlier today I did a duckduckgo search for a Spyderco knife, and the first result was this spy-derco site.

Can we whip a little CQI on the new spyderco.com? There are a couple problems that make it difficult to look up and compare models.
First Issue:
When viewing products, we're presented with a table showing 28 items per page. For the Clip-It line, there are ten pages of products, six of which are available for clicking at any one time. We have to click through each page to hunt for a specific model. The solution would be to set it up like other web stores where we can view ALL items on one page.
If I'm comparing a knife on Page 2 with a knife on Page 8, there's a LOT of clicking going on. What if I'm comparing three or four knives? Opening separate browser windows across multiple displays is cumbersome, and near impossible for people using phones or laptops.
Second issue:
Despite sorting by "title ascending," the products are not all listed alphabetically. I'm currently looking at the CLIPIT products, Page 7. It starts with the Tasman, and midway through the page is the Atlantic, and the page ends with the Endura.
Just for laughs:
Try going to Page 7. You can't get there from here. You have to go to the CLIPIT Products page, then click Page 5, then Click Page 6, and only then can you click on Page 7. Navigating is... inelegant.
Maybe we can whip a little CQI on the web site.

Hi, DansGearAddiction:
Thank you for the detailed feedback. The old website was a custom build, so we had a lot of flexibility. The new site is built on a platform, so there are limitations to what we can do in terms of customization and formatting in certain areas.
I don't see "Account" under the hamburger menu. Can you post a screenshot?
Users can choose how they want to sort on the search or Category pages. There are several options.
We replaced the Folding Knives category several years ago. It's now under CLIPIT.
The Cigna link is a requirement of the federal Transparency in Coverage (TiC) Rule.
A good website continues to evolve; ours will, too. We appreciate the feedback as we move forward.

Hi, bleasure:
That's a counterfeit site. We've shared it with our legal team. Thank you for posting it.

The website does look gorgeous!
Bless those continuing to work on it. I can only imagine.
Today I looked for information on > Spyderco Manix 2 CPM-REX 45 Burnt Orange G10 Sprint Run C101GPBORE2
I got the dreaded 404 error. That knife goes back to January 2020.
I imagine that you are working backwards in time, correct TazKristi?

I would love to see a section for discontinued products and images on the site again. this is very helpful when buying on the aftermarket
I would also love to be able to have products clickable by model
overall looks much cleaner and works well

@TazKristi Love the new site. Have you ever thought about a way to compare knife spec side by side?
Something where you could check 2-4 knifes and hit a compare button, so you could see their specs (length, weight, thickness, edge lenght, etc.) on a table. It's a feature I think that would get used a lot.
