I came to love the ridiculousness of the Techno1. When I picked up a 2, it just didn't have that "crazy" that made the 1 so special. Still hoping Spyderco makes a Mouse3 flipper.

Decided to order one, getting a little harder to find...should be here Saturday. I have the 1 guess I need the 2.
From the pics in this thread a little disappointed its not as "tank like" as the Techno 1. But I really like Ti.

I wonder if SG will come back and tell us her decision?

Had the 1, have the 2. No regrets, collection-wise, but in the rare event I carry small, I’m more likely to grab a Glesser-design.

Yeah, it's not worth the price if you are not 100% on the design. The LNLW will punch above its weight and you are already a fan of the design.

It depends. I love the Techno 2 myself, it's like a Slysz Bowie little brother.
Do you need a small hefty knife that looks non threatening ? If the answer is, get it 100%.
It's small and very hard to get a full hand grip. The metal it used isn't the easiest to sharpen neither. Outside of that, it's a great knife.
They're out of stock often recently, so it's either Spyderco phasing it out slowly or a 3.0 version releasing.

I might be in the minority as I prefer the Techno 2 to the G10 Lil Native. I find the compression lock on the latter hard to depress due to the knife's small size. I have no trouble with the framelock on the Techno 2, and I appreciate the extra girth of its scales when holding the knife.

I really
want to like it. Thinner than the T1 blade stock doesn’t bother me, it’s still hefty enough for how long it is.
But every time I open it, the blade hole comes across the top part of the handle, where it juts out, and the mechanics of opening the knife (for me, ymmv) result in rubbing my thumb across that corner, and having to push through it to open the blade. It’s not a sharp corner, but it’s not comfortable either.
I bought the knife because it seemed like a rock solid example of the ‘big little knife’ concept. I’ve been incredibly happy with the dragonfly sprint runs I own. (Super Blue, Hap40, and the non-sprint ZDP-189) And so every time I swap back to the Dragonfly, I’m struck by how much easier and more comfortable it is to open, by comparison.
As I said, I really want to like the Techno 2. The steel is great, the lockup is incredibly solid. But really, it just makes me miss my sebenza.
