On a serious note though. I felt the same way about the Millie until I carried it. Mine is the BG42 and I just love it.

What are you guys doing with your Millies and other larger blades that I can't do with my Caly? Aside from stabbing deeper, or cutting larger pieces of watermelon? The former I have no interest in, but the latter would be handy, I admit.

Hey Bolstermanic, it's not soo much the size of the blade than the handle.

I have large meaty hands and the handle of the Military is the most comfortable for me of all the Spydies.

The only knife that's just as comfortable is the ParaMilitary. I have to use the choil on this one otherwise the handle will hurt my hands. When using the choil the knife melts into my hand. Evenmore so than the Millie

I have had 2 Paramillitaries/SE and got rid of them both because they developped all Vertical play after some light use. :mad:

If the Para/SE came with the same lock as the Military/SE, I would prefer the Para/SE over the Military/SE because of it's more NKP friendlier blade

I'm eagerly awaiting the improved Para/SE with a more play free(??) lock.

A quick story and then a follow up comment. I usually carry a business folder in rfp and a utility in the left rear pocket. This is sans fixed blade and or firearms. Well the story took place at church a few weeks back. It was a large event that was going on where I was in charge of the fine details of the protection team etc. Anyway at the end of the event, a young lady had somehow blocked the vehicle that one of the V.I.P guest were suppose to enter and leave the premisis.............Well after making sure her intentions were good :rolleyes: I asked what her problem was. She said that her car would not move. I looked in the front of the car and just below the front bumper, there was a large thick plastic cover wedged between the front tires and the wheel well........Now the quick fix..........the Yo that was in my front right pocket, in all of its flesh eating appettite, was no match for this plastic cover..........Wait a minute the big beefy ruckus that has been occuppying my left rear pocket was.............. left at home! :o All that was needed and agreed upon at that time was something to cut the plastic from the wheel well and problem solved. I did not nor did I have the time to go back to my vehicle and bring back the BFK(kabar kukri in the trunk), remember a Church! :D

Anyway this plastic piece was pushed up just enough to get the car moved quickly. I say all of that to say that, big strong folders do have there place. I sure missed mine in this instant. Take care and Spydutch, I have similar problems, I have big mitts too. I love the millie, I just cannot get over the lock. I just subconciously feel that I am going to hit it if I have any kind of torquing motion. The para is nice also, but it needs to be a millie size to fit right! :D Take care all and God Bless.
