I agree, I like the fact that the wave makes the blades smaller from edge to spine. I'll have to work on those photos in photo shop and see what one would look like with the wave taken off.

I just received a waved delica and endura today. I'm not a collector, but the knives are both numbered. Probably a number that nobody is using right now.
The color of the handles looks like a dark grey-blue. The wave delica is really nice compared to my "old" generation 3 delica.
The endura will have to test driven a bit before I decide if it is a keeper. I'm not quite sure how this knife was meant to be gripped.
I have to say Spyderco did a great job on these new Gen4 knives. No blade play, and they feel really solid. I'm really looking forward to grabbing a Gen4 ZDP when they become available. The endura and delica knives are probably impossible to beat when it comes to bang for the buck.

How do you like the ergos of both regarding what I told you about the E4s?

I like the feel of the Delica 4 better than I liked that of the barrel bolt clip ones. Shape of the backstrap makes it feel more like the stainless version, which I prefered. I like the new grip pattern a lot, does give much better traction than the older version of the volcano grip. And the action on both the Gen 4s is very smooth. But if I'm going to carry an FRN :spyder: I still prefer the 50/50 choil and fishscale grip of the Calypso Jr. :o
Aside from the grippiness of the scales, the Endura 4 feels about the same as the older version, since my hand is normally too far forward to notice the reshaped part of the backstrap. But I never really cared much for the Endura, sold off every other one ever had, so don't think this one will be around long either. If the wave really worked well as a cap lifter, I know someone who would buy it from me in a heartbeat. :D

I just opened the package containing my new Waved Delica 4. It, too, has a collector's number, evidently one that was not taken by a current collector.
This little knife is great. I love the blade shape and will post some photos as soon as I have the opportunity.
Paul, thank you. Your photos convinced me that I really needed to have one of these. Might even have to order some more when they become a bit more plentiful.
