I get most of my :spyder: " 's with the combo edge. Ya never know what you'll run into out there & I feel somewhat more prepared with this blade style.
On the other hand.... I really love my PE Gray Goddard! :D

I carry all three...so I vote for all three...For MBC it's a plain edge...for heavy duty cutting it's the SE and for daily chores it's the CE...I don't see how anyone could just carry one type of blade for everything...So I vote Yes...It that a category? Doc

I usually carry one of each.

if it were ANY other company's serrated edge, i'd vote plain... but the spyderedge is simply too incredible. with the sharpmaker, i've found it easier to maintain than a plain edge.... and serrated H1 steel is an absolute dream.

Plain edge works best for the "gentleman's tasks" that I mostly need a knife for. OTOH my one rescue knife is a SE G10 Harpy as it should be.

I'm a fan on the plain edge. I like the ease of sharpening and I can either leave the edge alone after the medium stone ot I can go to the fine stone and then strop if i want a polished edge.

I know that PE's are much easier to maintain and the CE's seem to be more versatile. But my very EDC is a SE Delica (many thanks Allen) :D

I would like to see more of a 60/40, sort of like the Native. I like SE for a lot of things but need the PE for fine work. I do carry both a CE Delica that sees much more use the the PE C-III. I keep saying I'll get the clips to fix my FRN SE Enduras, and when I do, I'll carry the Delica less. I'd really like to see a 60/40 or even an 80/20 CE Endura with the larger portion of the blade SE. This would be my perfect knife.

i voted CE because even though i love SE, i havent been able to put my native II ss down in a year. The CE with vg10 is such an effective combo that i havent had need to use anything else.

My preference is the plain edge as I like to sharpen my knives and this is the easiest for me to sharpen quickly. :)

When I bought my first knives it had to be PE. I found SE knives looking like saws and ugly. Until I bought my first CE knive(a little Gerber Gator) and cut with it. What a eye opening, so easy as the knife went to various materials(thick canvas straps, rope, leather) From that time on I want almost only fully serrated knives. This morning I had to choose between a Manix and a Paramilie. I chose the Para because the Manix is only available in PE and CE (I hope I made a good choice though)

I prefer PE for most things, but find that combo edges do have their place. I have a Gerber EZ-out in CE that is used constantly in yardwork. Most of the things that I do, though, a PE is more than adequate. I may acquire one of the the Spydie SE blades, though, to "try" :D

I prefer plain edge, but I find myself using my full serrated edge Endura the most. Weird. :) And it is only G2 steel, not that fancy VG-10 stuff, so you know it can't cut anything except cardboard. :) :)
