Brought the Waterway on its first fishing "trip" last night. It was late in the evening and very low visibility because of the dark. Got this one shot of it lying still, where it appears to be much more light than there actually is.
Managed to catch two trouts before lack of light made it impossible to continue, and I forced to return home. Even forgot my headlamp this time, so gutting was performed with my phone in my mouth to have some kind of working light.

Still the Bugout vs my new Watu. Broke down some boxes and did some food prep (including cutting some biltong (jerky) as a snack) this morning. As expected the Watu slices better but I'm not wild about the tip hitting the board doing push cuts in the kitchen.

Nah, 3rd gen Prius. Done plenty of those IMA batteries as well... I work in a small Indy shop that specializes in Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus vehicles. I’m the only person that was ever hybrid certified and has the megaohmmeter and insulation tester to diagnose hybrids so I usually get any of them that roll in the shop, or come in on a hook in this case.

Cool. I was amazed at how simple they were to work on/fix, if you could get your head around the principles. Much different than the working on an ICE.
I rebuilt the battery on my insight and loved it. Favorite part? I walked away with clean hands! Haha

No idea why half the pics I post are turned upside down. It doesn't happen on any other site. Sorry about that, no idea what I am doing wrong.

Thanks! Love this Autonomy 2. It slices better than pretty much any other knife I own!

Thanks Rick! :) Was a lot of fun feeling the thin edge just glide through. Foam like that is so satisfying to cut.

Used my Police to slice holes in a stromboli than section it after it baked. Finding any excuse I can to use this knife, trying to get it to stop being shaving sharp

Only on this forum will you see such odd statements. :D
It's a good problem to have though; needing to use a knife more, because it just won't dull.

Haha indeed. I'm trying to see how long it takes for it to lose shaving sharpness with "realistic" uses, i.e. not raiding the back of a walmart for bails of cardboard and going to town :D Didn't expect it to take over three weeks.
K390 has always had impressive edge retention for me regardless of the grit I finish with, but this 300 grit edge is next level. Hands down the best edge retention of any knife I've owned.
I put the same kind of edge on my VG10 Police 4 and I plan to run the same experiment with it and compare. After doing casual EDC comparisons with each I may do some sort of controlled cardboard cutting test.
At some point I want to start a thread on low grit edges, but before I do I want to make a video comparing my two Police 4's with opposite edges. One with a 200-300 grit edge and one taken all the way up to the ultrafine ceramics. I'll show them each push cutting and slicing different objects, then maybe do an edge retention test with them depending on how ambitious I feel. I'll try to get to that before Halloween.
