are you allowed to use 12 rd mags and not fill them up or is that a no no? never lived in a state with those restrictions so maybe a dumb question.
I own both and the $$ difference is worth it to me. ymmv. I found the ruger rusted very easily carried AIWB in the summer while I've never rusted any S&W auto after decades of use and carry. BG2.0 has a much better trigger too.
And another thing, Texas and probably most other states allow bird hunters to plug their shotguns to a maximum of three shots including the one in the chamber. So why don't the 10 round states allow pistol owners to plug high capacity magazines?
Yeah, Aimpoint COA. I hope it takes off. Ideally, the red dot market will standardize on a common footprint.

Ruger LCP Max is very nice for the $$ but the BG2.0 is definitely a cut above.
Some states allow this for hunting with semi auto rifles. You can buy a mag insert that turns a 10rd into a 5. Some companies did pin mags back in the ban days too. It was not an easy thing to take out though.
