Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
What are your best deals that you got on Spyderco knives on online stores/facebook groups/reddit/ebay etc?
I will start first. Even though I have dozens of Spydies I only got one memorable "deal of century". It was couple years ago and I won a bid for Waterway. I paid only $125, and was shocked that no one bid higher. To guys living in US it may not seem too impressive, but normally in my country; Poland, you'd have to pay twice as much. I must also add it was brand new with sheath and a box. What about you?

LNIB $99 Police 3 in 2025 comes to mind. Less than I paid for one the year they came out....not adjusted for inflation.
Adjusted for inflation it's about half what I paid in 2008 for one.

When I say I've gotten some unbelievable deals, I mean that as literally as possible. Deals so good that you won't believe me.

Re: Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
I suck at this, I've really only ever got one that comes to mind which was a ZDP-189 Delica for $50 back when their MSRP was probably around $80 or something. My best deals are honestly just from the days when prices were lower and I didn't know how good I had it.

I was thinking along the lines of David here, of course better deals were back before inflation went through the roof on everything. Though I will say, back in 2019 I bought a brand new Gayle Bradley 2 on eBay for $114. Probably the best deal I've ever got.

Re: Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
I got a Cruwear/ smooth g10 Manix 2XL and a UKPK in S30V for $150 in the first Mystery Box. Can’t really see why they were seconds. They are both perfect.
Re: Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
All four Caribbean variants for $114 each a few years ago. Used Chokwe for $90. NIB Hundred Pacer for $205 a couple years ago. NIB Schempp Bowie for $118 a few years ago. Large Lum Folder pink G-10 for $100.
These probably don't count, but to me they do because they're among the most perfect knives I've ever received: factory 2nd SPY27 YoJimbo for $105 and factory 2nd Military Model ATS-34 DLC for $95.

Re: Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
Speaking of deals somebody is getting one and it chaps me.
Last year for my sixty fifth birthday I bought myself a Drunken . Could not be happier with it ; no problem .
but
I paid about six hundred and now I see them for mid four hundreds on the same on line source .
WHAT ? no body is buying Drunkens and they have to blow them out or maybe they already made so much money they don't know where to stack it all . . . or what ? ? ?
I wish I saw that kind of price drop on some other things I need ; rather than just want .
rant ends .

Re: Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
I'm not much of a bargain hunter—I tend to buy my folders at MAP prices from established local retailers I'm familiar with—but maybe 6 or 7 years ago, I found an S110V UKPK brand new in box while browsing at a military surplus shop, selling for around C$60. Picked it up without a second thought.

Maybe it’s the Midwesterner in me, but my seconds Maxamet Manix 2 I love even more because I paid $92 for it. Had I paid $279 or whatever the going rate is, I do not know that I would enjoy it the same way I do. It’s hard to explain, maybe it’s just a Midwest thing. The knife is better because I got a deal on it. I don’t care that the blade is warped, it cuts great and nobody I have showed it to has noticed.

Re: Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
I am a frequent shopper at Knife Center, DLT, and a few other places. I try to use retailers that offer points to make the most of shopping to maximize my returns. You are going to buy a knife anyway so you may as well get something for the purchase.
Last week I purchased my 3rd, Spyderco Enuff 2 Fixed Blade in K390 for around $100 with my points. The Enuff 2 is my go to for a small but legal self defense fixed blade. The Enuff 2 in K390 is not so small as to be useless, has one of the best steels available on the market, does not have too much belly for easy penetration, and it is not too large as to draw attention.

Re: Your best deals\bargains on Spydercos
Any of you guys remember when, back in 2017, the Caly 3.5 ZDP-189 Carbon Fiber went on sale on Amazon for $102.99? That was a smokin' deal IMO. I got a bunch of really good deals on Spyderco (and other brand) knives over the years. Especially when models would be discontinued. I honestly can't remember them all. Only reason I could remember the Caly 3.5 is because I could look it up on Amazon

Why would it be a Midwest thing?im25feetup wrote: ↑Thu Jan 08, 2026 5:56 pmMaybe it’s the Midwesterner in me, but my seconds Maxamet Manix 2 I love even more because I paid $92 for it.
