I am not sure where it was produced . We will have to cross that bridge if the Persian makes top votes . Beautiful knife . MG2SpeedHoles wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 11:26 amAre we sure the Persian is even a viable possibility?
Was it made by Moki? Is it the same Maker as the Kris, which if I recall correctly, Sal has said is off the table as a possibility?
Could somebody point me to Sal's comments on Moki?

If 'Air' is the winner, my request would be some variation from the original. Such as: a stainless steel.
Steel novice who self-identifies as a steel expert. Proud M.N.O.S.D. member 0003. Spydie Steels: 4V, 15V, 20CV, AEB-L, AUS6, Cru-Wear, HAP40, K294, K390, M4, Magnacut, S110V, S30V, S35VN, S45VN, SPY27, SRS13, T15, VG10, XHP, ZWear, ZDP189
Re: RUN OFF Discontinued Redo Poll **Part 2**
Yeah, if it ultimately pulls through I am sure there will be loads of discussion on steel and scales. For the Air and the Persian, I think they would demand an upgraded unique scale material.

Poll runs till Tue Feb 18, 2025 9:28 am. Air is still in the lead, but man it is close. The worker doesn't seem to be in the running. The Persian, Manix, and Air however are still really tight.

The Air is definitely not lefty-friendly so it's out as far as I am concerned (beautiful knife, though).
The Worker is intriguing but I'm not sure I'd really have a use for such a knife.
The Manix is... well, a Manix. I get that it's a lockback version but still, not very exciting (and I'd rather have a regular Manix anyway).
The Persian is one the best-looking Spydercos ever made. It gets my vote.

I totally wouldn't hate an updated steel version of the Manix® Mid Back Lock Fine G-10 (C101MBG2).
I'd be interested in a Manix 2 sized one (preferably in forest green), but it'd be sweet if there were both Manix 2 and Manix 2 XL versions in Cruwear or SPY27. Or even Magnacut salts would be super welcome. Salt Sprints?

Not gonna lie, this shot in that configuration pretty much seals the deal for me for the C95. Looks tough

What's the story with the Khaki colored one? Still looks like S30V? I never had any of these midback lock versions at any point in time so didn't follow closely.

Re: RUN OFF Discontinued Redo Poll **Part 2**
My guess and probably a good one since we are good friends the scales are made by Cuscadi . He is the mod scale guru . Black and Forest Green were the only colors ever used on the Manix XL . Ah I thought it was a factory done edition in that color! Ok makes more sense then if I haven't seen that exactly before. I do know Cuscadi, great option parts, I have a couple other older models with Cuscadi scales.Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 5:12 pmMy guess and probably a good one since we are good friends the scales are made by Cuscadi . It's a tank. Look at the lockbar VS a tasman salt:SpeedHoles wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 4:13 pmNot gonna lie, this shot in that configuration pretty much seals the deal for me for the C95. Looks tough

People thinking the C95 looks like any other spyderco need to hold one to really appreciate how much more robust it feels compared to their current lockback offerings.
Here it is vs my kids ladybug, lol:
