It is similar to the Manix 2 since the Manix 2 was an evolution of the C95. However, there are a number of differences. The C95 was unique at release and everything that has come after has been a variation of it.

Are we sure the Persian is even a viable possibility?
Was it made by Moki? Is it the same Maker as the Kris, which if I recall correctly, Sal has said is off the table as a possibility?

I get your point, but of the five Manix knives I've owned, I've never had a back lock! I love the Manix platform so that lock is 100% why I voted for the C95!

That was a concern after reading Sal’s comments but interest was strong so was included on original list . I am not sure where it was produced . We will have to cross that bridge if the Persian makes top votes . Beautiful knife . MG2

Can I put a pocket clip on the Air?

Not without customization, but I'm sure it could be done. Honestly, for a redo, they could mill in a wire clip fitment without changing the footprint of the knife. Never out of the question, but ultimately in Spyderco's decision court.

That's my hope. The knife doesn't need to come with a clip if the designer doesn't want it too, but leave me the option.

Yep, that pretty much covers it.

Sal never said anything about Moki specifically, that was simply me asking where the Kris was made... and recalling that we haven't seen as much from that maker in recent times.

Cannot speak for everyone, but I often carry a small blade in the bottom of my right pocket. Preferrably a Wharncliffe. Nice to have a little package opener small blade for certain tasks. Not a nescessity, but neither is having a few dozen Spydercos.

Post #107 above is what I recall. I never before remember where Sal mentioned the possiblity of a change. The good news is classic designs may have a future elsewhere, but not without a lot of discussion and even more training and logistics.

When I look at the Air I tend to think penknife. Not something I carry. My grandpa carried one all the time tho. Cool little knife.
