Thats one area where i think the salt line could realistically head next. That midsize salt. Endela or stretch size. (~3.5") Maybe with a wharnie option (although i doubt that with salt2 wharnies going away), in SE and PE options in both LC and H2.

Yes, as discussed in another thread:

A Seki midsized Salt really is kind of missing in the lineup (though with the Manix 2 Salt we have just that out of Golden now). [ Due to recent discussions of the term "midsized": I mean "sized between Salt 2 and Pac Salt/ Stretch XL Salt" ;) ]

I personally hope it will be and Endela Salt rather than a Stretch 2 Salt.
Not that I would not like the Stretch 2: I do, and if I did not prefer the Stretch 1 slightly over it, I´d definitely own probaby one or two Stretch 2.
It is just that for me personally the Seki Salt line is much more about lightest weight possible and very "small" / "slim" carry for the blade one gets, and the Endela platform just is both lighter and a bit slimmer carry than the Stretch 2.
This would most likely not change in linerless Salt versions (what also speaks for that: The H2 Stretch XL salt is also a tad "heavier" than the H2 Pac Salt (3.0 vs 2.8))
Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)

Now that I own a Leafjumper, Delica, Tasman, Manbugs and a Dragonfly. I am leaning towards that my dream knife for Office/urban EDC would be a no choil Dragonfly-type, like a Lil' Leafjumper or something. It will need to fit in my 5th pocket in my jeans, which seem to be a maximum of 90 mm deep. (The dragonfly is 84, and so perfect length).

I am, so far, not seeing the advantage of a choil in my hands where instead I can have the handle more forward. Love my Leafjumpers and instantly took to the Delica as well.

If going for existing models but wishlist materials, then uncoated Magnacut Stretch 2XL Lightweight (with washers, though I can do the conversion myself) and a jazzy dark color like a dark teal or magenta. Purple would be nice too, but the PD#1s took it already.

If looking at a as-of-yet non-existent knife:
1. Slightly slimmer/narrower Resilience blade with slightly less spine thickness like 2,8mm.
2. Handle shape could stay, maybe slightly less prominent handle guard.
3. Change the lock to compression lock with nested, skeletonized liners, even better if they didn't cover the whole area of the handle.
4. Lightly contoured colorful CF (not necessarily FatCarbon, but wouldn't say no ^^) handles with additionally rounded edges.
5. Either blade, liners and handle coated with the shiny type of DLC, K390 steel or S90V with the same finish as on the Maxamet PM2 and matching liners and hardware

My dream Spyderco (based on an existing model) is probably a Lil' Temperance 3 Salt in either LC200N or MagnaCut, offered in both satin finish and Black/Yellow G10 and an all blacked-out version, similar to what is being done with the Para Military 2 Salt.

A close second would be a Lil' Temperance 3 LW Trainer. I'm actually quite happy with the existing LT3LW variants—the VG10 models are excellent for EDC/personal-carry and the K390 version is one of my 2 mainstay work folders—but would love to use an LT3LW Trainer for drills.

A third would be a Lil' Temperance 3 LW in PD#1 or Cru-Wear, preferably blacked out to help with corrosion resistance, with either gray, FDE, or OD scales.

1 The Spyderco Scimitar Folder with 3.0 mm blade thickness and plain combo and full triple point serrated blade and FRN handle and mid or back lock.

2 Spyderco Mini Aqua Salt with a satin finish blade under 4 inches and FRN grip with either H2 blade or lc200n.

If both or one of these had to be in the Byrd line with 8Cr13MoV budget steel I would still be satisfied and happier than a hog in a trough of donuts or a hillbilly in a field of roadkill or a Chicagoan in a room full of deep dish pizza. 😍

Out of curiosity, why a mini aqua salt instead of simply re-issuing the old version?

great model either way. I own 5.
