The Stretch 2 XL gets high marks from users here and I likely would have gotten that over the P4 K390 if the S2XL had been released first.
I'm leaning towards the Stretch 2 XL but my mind still goes to the P4.
Thanks

Can´t go wrong with the Stretch 2 XL SE imo. A great, extremely lightweight EDC knife.

But if you´re looking for the longest SE edge: It goes without saying that the P4 is the way to go.
Thanks Wartstein, I came close to getting the Stretch, but the P4 edged (🤣LOL) out the competition.

Is that the knife that's called the Yellowjacket?

Hey Y'all,
I've been poking in the Spyderco catalog looking for the largest/longest Spyderco with a 4" SE.
The one I was hoping for was a Military SE but I can't seem to find one.
I know a Military SE was made in the past because David has a photo of it in his SE thread.
The Endura is close to what I want but just shy of the 4" and I still may get one.
If the Szabo, and the Native Chief had a full SE option I'd jump on that Crow on a June bug.
The POLICE 4 shows some promise if I can find one.
Is there something that I'm missing that you know of?
Let me know. EDIT FOLDING KNIFE ONLY.
Thanks and have a blessed Resurrection Day!
Highly recommend the stretch 2 xl. Shorter than the police by a hair but it’s probably my favorite spyderco right now.

With the popularity of full SE blades on the rise I think Spyderco would do well with a new fixed blade with a longer blade and maybe a couple more full sized folders ( 4 inches plus blade) in full SE as well. And that full SE blade pattern that they used on the C-60 Cruwear Sprint run would make for a great all purpose utility/work knife in full SE.

Also I do hope at some point that they consider making another great full SE fillet knife as well. I was lucky enough to snag one of the older AUS-8 Catcherman models in full SE and it's been a great full SE utility knife.

This is the first I’ve heard of the SE Caribbean being discontinued. Maybe a Caribbean 2.0 is in the works?

It is, see here viewtopic.php?t=93548#p1665932

If a 2.0 is in the works: Why then would they just discontinue the SE versions?

Sad anyway: When reading this forum the Caribbeans particular serration pattern could be the most popular around here (I don't have one, so can't weigh in, but completely trust folks like David/Evil D on that).
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Thanks, man! :smlling-eyes

But I am actually not planning on getting one myself - not the biggest comp.lock fan, especially on large, more outdoorsy folders.
I´d like a linerlock version of the Caribbean, but this will certainly never come to existence.

So I hope that the "Sequoia" (= Leaf Jumper XL) will be kind of a backlock Caribbean (if that one becomes reality eventually, but I am positive it will!)

My leaf blade Caribbean SE has serrations very similar to the serrations on my Endela. The Endela still cuts better because it has thinner blade stock.

I actually really like the yellow color. But I must admit it looks great in different color. The black looks amazing and trust me I am more a color kind of guy.

I think I'd buy that one on sale above if it was not for the internation shipping / taxes complication.

If you don’t want a Police4 SE in K390 there’s also the Police4 SE in all stainless steel & VG-10. However, it’s noticeably heavier (5.5 oz vs. 4.2 oz) and has Hollow Grind instead of FFG.

How soon everyone forgets about the Tatanka (C180G). A blade length of 5.05”, an overall length of 11.55”, and a closed length of 6.5”. I’ll put this up against a Police SE/PE any day.

That is a nice blade but it is unavailable. So I went with the P4. Not to worry though, I have the Cold Steel Espada XL, The largest folding knife in my collection. Blade Length 7-1/2in, Handle Length/Material 9-1/4in G-10, Overall Length: 16-3/4in.
It is a monster of a folding knife.
