Re: Your best example of a Spyderco

Same as @Actinolite. Knife Center Kapara S90V with burlap micarta scales. Especially considering how burlap can tear out.
There are a lot of second place ties, but the Kapara edges them out for the top spot. I bought a second at sales time as a user.

Re: L.T. Wright thoughts

Good work!
I have a few LT Wright knives. In the Outback, GNS, Genesis, Next Gen, Frontier Valley, and others if I went looking. In 1075, A2 and mostly 3V steal.
I haven’t bought one in a while. Not because of price increase. More because nothing ‘new’ has came out in a compelling style or material ...

Re: China

I am not from the USA, so no brand loyalty for USA made knives. Our (Aussie) domestic knife manufacturing (outside of custom makers) ceased a long time ago along with many other industries. Sadly, we are a good example for Americans to remember at this time in their history.
I first got into ...

Re: Out of stock on purpose

I don’t know anything about the OP and I normally wouldn’t comment (breathe life into) on a thread like this. I do know about serving one’s country and community. A quote from Mahatma Gandhi sums it up far better than I ever could - “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service ...

Re: KNIFECENTER EXCLUSIVE SHAMAN S90V DROP 238$

The original release was a real hit or miss episode. Either a bad review regarding fit and finish, or a 5 star review. Nothing in between.
Hopefully they sorted out the issues because it is a great looking knife with a cracker steel. I’m tempted!

Re: Temperance 2... in 15v?

When the Temperance 2 came out I thought it would be a great platform for Elmax.
In reality, I would buy the knife in any of the steels mentioned. Just use it differently depending on the steel.

That burlap micarta looks so nice, I can't wait to see this one in peoples hands (and photos)

Hey Ali,

I carried the first article for a few days. It's really a winner. Ask Alex or Wendy to grab one for you when they get through QC. It's been in-the-works for a while, but it was worth the ...

Re: PM3 Wharncliffe Where Are You?

I am sure it would cut great. Out of my ‘small collection’ of Spyderco knives (I can’t even pretend to say that with a straight face ….), my two most used knifes around the home and garage are both Delica Wharncliffe models (K390 and LC200N). If the blade shape was a similar style to the Seki Delica ...

Re: Kapara s90v burlap micarta KnifeCenter exclusive

Has anyone received their shipping notice yet? I haven’t and it seems unlike KC to take this long to ship.

Not yet

They seem to have gone quiet. I was going to answer with - Someone has, there is a review on the web site. But then I read the review and the person is using words like ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Copper and Clad (more of a Buck knife premium dealer) has the M2 S90V CF for $235 USD. Better than the $294@ they were going for.

I have bought of them a couple of times (including Manix 2 15V). Good customer service and sends international. They are a Spyderco Authorised Dealer.

After the debacle of a double order I finally got it worked out. Although janky site for a bit, customer service is excellent.

Yeah, clunky web site. When I finally go through to the checkout, it wouldn’t accept payment. :zany Oh well, saved me $255.
Still, I hope others enjoy the knife.

Kind of already exists.

I think in overall shape Sage and Chaparral are even closer to a "lil Manix" than the Native.

Especially the subtle thumbramp.

Also, the Sage 3 came with a bolt action lock (so same idea as the CBBL).

Agreed.
My post was more about a ‘back lock’ version.

Re: Para-Manix or Lil' Manix someday?

I really like the Manix, but more despite the CBBL rather than because of, so not sure I’m up for more of those in any size. But I’d get pretty excited for a smaller sized, backlock Manix.

Couldn’t have worded any better!
