That burlap micarta looks so nice, I can't wait to see this one in peoples hands (and photos)
Hey Ali,
I carried the first article for a few days. It's really a winner. Ask Alex or Wendy to grab one for you when they get through QC. It's been in-the-works for a while, but it was worth the ...

Re: PM3 Wharncliffe Where Are You?
I am sure it would cut great. Out of my ‘small collection’ of Spyderco knives (I can’t even pretend to say that with a straight face ….), my two most used knifes around the home and garage are both Delica Wharncliffe models (K390 and LC200N). If the blade shape was a similar style to the Seki Delica ...

Re: Kapara s90v burlap micarta KnifeCenter exclusive
Has anyone received their shipping notice yet? I haven’t and it seems unlike KC to take this long to ship.
Not yet
They seem to have gone quiet. I was going to answer with - Someone has, there is a review on the web site. But then I read the review and the person is using words like ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
Copper and Clad (more of a Buck knife premium dealer) has the M2 S90V CF for $235 USD. Better than the $294@ they were going for.
I have bought of them a couple of times (including Manix 2 15V). Good customer service and sends international. They are a Spyderco Authorised Dealer.

I think in overall shape Sage and Chaparral are even closer to a "lil Manix" than the Native.
Especially the subtle thumbramp.
Also, the Sage 3 came with a bolt action lock (so same idea as the CBBL).
Agreed.
My post was more about a ‘back lock’ version.

Re: Para-Manix or Lil' Manix someday?
I really like the Manix, but more despite the CBBL rather than because of, so not sure I’m up for more of those in any size. But I’d get pretty excited for a smaller sized, backlock Manix.
Couldn’t have worded any better!
Kind of already exists.

Need or want? Considering - A need is something essential for survival or well-being, while a want is something desirable but not essential for living.

Re: Just the tip?
I can’t recall breaking the tip off any knife. Even stabbing, like when I used a fixed blade knife with dogs for wild boar hunting (don’t hunt that way any more). The stabbing was never a wild frenzied attack!
Like most here are saying, I use my knives for cutting. Occasionally I may hit something ...

^ probably the best deal going on one of these Delica’s is at LNW if you are chasing a free $27 clip. One left at $98 usd.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)
Some things to consider.
I thought the smooth line running lengthwise down the middle of the handle is the functional "landing spot". I think Erik mentioned that in one of those YouTube interviews. Let me know if I'm wrong on that.
Not sure which model Erik was referring to. I didn’t see the ...

Re: I don't understand why Spyderco pivots self loosen
There's a video out there somewhere of a Spyderco employee assembling knives using a torque driver.

I believe it! I'd be interested to learn the torque numbers that they're using. :respect :bug-white-red

When I see things like in the Shaman Spy27 tip protruding thread https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?t=97530 , I often wonder if the smallest and even least obvious of error margins at the start of a job, end up throwing out the final product in the most obvious places. Bit like the old ...

Re: PM2 in 15V or Magnacut or Cruwear ?
Looking to be tougher on the knife, baton, etc then CruWear.
Would you feel comfortable batoning a PM2, or is this more generally relating to the steel? I wouldn't be the one to know if it could be done, but thinking about batoning with a PM2 makes me anxious. I wouldn't have the stomach ...

Re: Sage 5 LW - Question about dirt in the action
I agree with Mikey177. As a rule I generally stay with fixed blades when I use a knife for camping, hunting or fishing duties. More to avoid the deep clean needed when finished.
On a side note, I prefer the shape of the Native 5 blade over the Sage 5 blade for fishing and hunting. The Sage 5 is ...
