Still rocking the cheap and ugly hdpe scales on my Magnacut Mule. Still cutting up hdpe food containers, I have made some climbing holds out of hdpe too, and plan to make more.
I have cycled through all of my Mules cutting hdpe and this chore has really reinforced the fact that geometry cuts.
So far my best blade for cutting this material is a no-name, 2mm full flat grind, kitchen utility knife. I have tried a boxcutter, thin for the win, but the blades break off too easy.
I still use a Mule more that the kitchen utility knife because the Mule has a better handle, and better control through this medium. This gets me excited for the Catcherman since it is thin and appears to have those great Spyderco ergos.
