I use salts for their intended purpose. In the ocean, on the ocean, near the ocean. I've been using them since 2009. Frankly put, the Pacific Salt is the greatest knife ever created for actual work on the water. I've tried the new fancy Caribbean scaled Paramilitarys and such. They are great, well made and beautiful but I wouldn't buy them for actually use on the water. The closest Spyderco is getting is the new Caribbean scaled UKPK, which sounds to be linerless if i read it correctly. So here is the ask-
Pacific Salt 2, Magnacut with linerless Caribbean scales and a backlock. If i had my pick it would be a blacked out handle and a satin blade, but at this point I'll take any color of this knife.
Thank you.

I love the Pacific Salt as well. I have several, all in H1 and H2. I sold my LC200N Pacific. I'd probably buy the variant you described, but mainly to try the Pacific with the Caribbean-style scales. Honestly, I think I'd prefer H2 to MagnaCut for the Pacific.

I wanted a Caribbean XL years ago but when they discontinued the SE leaf blade I lost hope. I wish I had bought more Pac Salts before they were discontinued.

Sign me up. The Pacific Salt is a favorite of mine too, especially for summer use. I'd be thrilled to see one in magnacut, but a handle upgrade would definitely get my attention. The gen 1 and gen 2 handles both work for me, but they've never been my favorite handle shapes compared to the Military, Manix XL, etc.

If you mean gen 1 they can still be found. Pretty sure there's some on ACK right now.
I was holding out for the XL Sal had mentioned too. Shame about that one.
