Spyderco Sticker Spottings

#1

Post by Pokey »

I've been meaning to post this. Has anyone unexpectedly seen Spyderco stickers stuck somewhere? Tool boxes, laptops, and on cars are pretty much normal, but what about somewhere you wouldn't expect.

The reason I ask is back around the holidays I was back in my old haunts where I used to live. I brought some Factory Second knives and old stickers with me for my former neighbor, ( aka, the ex-door neighbor,) and other neighbors back in the 'hood. I got into a discussion with one former neighbor about where he was going to put the stickers. He works on BIG jets and mentioned that on one aircraft the stairway up to the cockpit has a bunch of stickers stuck all over the bulkheads, he said he'd stick one there. I asked him to take a picture of whatever he sticks on the jet. I suggested on the tail, on the nose, on the windscreen, back by the afterburner, etc. (that one would be one and done :winking-tongue ) He hasn't sent me any photos and due to company policy may not be able to take any photos.

Have you unexpectedly seen any stickers out in the wild?

Our previous Toyota Camry was White and there are so many of them around I put the Spyderco Heartbeat sticker in the back window, in the upper left. I traded that car in for my new 4runner. Unless somebody saw the sticker and removed it, the new owner is driving around with it!!!

I have a new 4runner and I have to get some Spyderco stickers on it!

Not really unexpected since I put it there but I have tge heartbeat sticker on the back window of my GTI. I also have a Spydie sticker on the shooting rest that I use for competition and another one on my range box

Otherwise I don't think I've ever seen a random one out in the wild
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

Never once spotted a sticker but have spotted knives in pockets a few times. I was in a dentist office waiting room once when a guy walked in with an original Smurf blue Yojimbo 1 in his pocket, the clip was unmistakable.

While skiing a few weekends ago, I happen to ride the chairlift with another skier who’s helmet was covered with various knife company stickers, including several Spyderco stickers. We had a great chat about knives for the 6 minute ride

I live in hardcore Benchmade/Case country, I know people who claim to have never heard of Spyderco, much less have I ever seen a Spyderco sticker!!😲

I wore my Spyderco cap for years, and then poof, I cannot find it. Waiting to order a couple of new hats.

I am going to buy some stickers off eBay.

EDIT: Just bought White Cracked - Weatherproof Vinyl Decal Logo Waterproof Snow Proof 8 Inch Wide, for the back of my 4Runner.
