Cricket Questions

Happy Friday good people! Just got this little Cricket used off the bay, and immediately went to clean it up. Felt a little gritty so pulled the blade and found only one washer. Not even sure which side it was on. This has happened in the past on an older one I had. Anywho, while piecing it back together, or trying, that tiny washer disappeared on me. It may turn up but after looking for 30 min I said forget it and put the blade back in. Question is, is it ok to run this knife without washers, either indefinitely or until I get some new ones? Also does Spyderco sell washers and can you tell me how old or recent this one is? Forgot how much I like this little guy. Thanks!

Hi 40mm,

I don't think it would hurt the blade or the scales to run without washers. Oil it periodically. You can contact Charlynn in Customer service to see if they have washers.

Also just to double check, it SHOULD have washers on both sides of the blade correct?

Appreciate you Marmot! It’s actually nice and smooth without the washers and still centered. πŸ‘πŸΌ I’m sure smoother WITH washers but all good in the meantime.
