If you could design your own spyderco knife what blade and handle material lock shape etc would it be?
Mine would probably be a manix 2 salt with g10 scales and a hic blade

Scaled up to ~95 mm of blade (not that Lil') Temperance. Taichung made, with dark grey FRN handle, K390 or XHP steel, compression lock and pocket clip holes compatible with aftermarket dc clips. Leaf shape or rhino style blade, optional pe and se.
Another one would be Caly 3.5 or 4.0 with back lock of Chaparral, frn or polished micarta (black or blue) handle, screw construction, Taichung made, xhp/spy27/k390, pocket clip like Rhino.

Caly 3.5 in Magnamax. And SE!
It’s the most comfortable model I have of Spyderco.
So far MM is not really needing to be sharpened!
Welcome as well!

A larger Spyderco Native Chief in CruWear or MagnaMax(if it ends up tough enough).
A 5 inch blade Native Chief, keeping the exact same blade profile as the 4 inch bladed Native Chief.

Temperance 2 in magnacut with green canvas micarta scales and another 1/2" of blade length and an optional dangler attachment for the sheath.
Street Beat in green canvas micarta and DLC magnacut, with the blade shape tweaked to have a bit less belly.
Manix XL Salt as shown in the reveal, with no handle jimping, no index choil, and another 1/2" or so of cutting edge.
5" Police Salt constructed like the Military 2 Salt material-wise.
3V Rock Salt XXL.

The CruWear-micarta Bodacious that will likely show up at some point is pretty close. If I could Salt-ify the liners and hardware, and switch to LC200N, I'd store backups in separate locations so I'd never run out.
As is, I'd attempt a blade swap to S30V. If that doesn't fit, CruWear will serve me just fine.
My other ideal knife is the sheepsfoot Caribbean. I just need to bore into the detent pit a tiny bit more.

It never changes. Stop handcuffing the Caribbean as a Salt only knife. Do away with the milled scales to bring the cost down and start introducing it in other steels. Even if they're just sprints it would be so nice to see. The real dream would be to bring back the serrated blades in CruWear and Spy27.

A backlock Endela that incorporates the Chaparral stop pin for better lockup. I'm fine with Spy27 and blue FRN.
I don't really dream much these days as I get older, more ornery and hopelessly jaded.

- A plain jane Endura 4 SE in VG10, SE and
ffg would be great...
- Of course a Chaparral XL (SE), literally everything stays exactly the same as with the current Chap FRN, just lengthened to Endela size (
viewtopic.php?p=1830086&hilit=Chaparral+XL#p1830086)
- Backlock Caribbean-ish or Bodacious-ish model - preferably in FRN though (so kind of that Leaf Jumper XL / "Sequoia"... wonder if we'll ever see it come to life)

A 3.5" inch Native 5 in Magnacut (or Rex45/Maxamet/Cruwear) with fluted CF scales (or olive drab G10).

... I think I'd also not be opposed to a Manix 2
XL LW (linerless FRCP just like the current Manix 2 LW)...
